Your eyes were heavy,
Like melting gold,
You smelt of cherry,
And felt ice cold. You saw my darkest parts,
The ones I hid away,
You saw my monsters,
And yet you chose to stay. The pink sky faded,
As twilight slowly ended,
The moon shining above,
I could not hide who I was.I was as bare,
As I'd ever been,
My soul pouring out,
I could not stand and breathe. You didn't help me,
You didn't reach out,
You simply stood there,
While I broke down. You kept your distance,
While I mended myself,
You didn't back out,
Or let me be all alone. You got me,
Even when I didn't,
You knew what I needed,
And somehow the pain I felt faded. It was like looking at the light, After surviving the dark, Painful and hard, But unseemingly worth it all.
Your presence was solacing, Like honey to my soul, Ohh stifled angel stay here more, Before you walk out that ghastly door.
