Torrik escorted me down to the grounds, looking like and idiot, as usual, and he "reserved" two front row seats, just for us. I wished this day would go by faster. I sat down, and scooted as far away from Torrik as the seat would allow me. I sat awkwardly, waiting for the competition to begin.

A booming voice echoed across the bustling stadium, and everyone settled down. Torrik then tried to grab my hand, but I moved it away as fast as possible. He gave me a look saying, 'I'll get you eventually!' I shivered.

My attention was instantly averted from Torrik as the contestants started to walk out and onto the field. One boy about the same age as me caught my eye. He looked up at me, and smiled. I giggled a little, and blushed.

Torrik's face turned into a frown at my choice of action.

"Who is that young knight there?" I asked Torrik. He was the knight commander after all.

"Oh. Thats a young trainee, and a little reckless I say." He said, clearly trying to throw me off. I smiled, and turned back to the competition.

It was entertaining for sure. Two people would battle each other until one of them was forced to surrender. It went on like this for a while, until it was down to the last battle. To my suprise, the young knight Link was one of the contestants.

An eventful few minutes passed as he dueled men twice the size of the young boy. Link parried the great blade his opponent was wielding, and struck his large helmet. The other man roared, and Link did something extraordinary. He ran strait at him, and jumped.

He landed on the mans blade, propelled himself into the air, over his shoulders, and landed behind the man, facing the opposite direction. Link spun around and struck the mans greaves, and the man, fell to the floor with a thud.

The crowd cheered, and I smiled. I was looking forward to spending time with this knight. Something about him just made my heart warm.

"And the young knight Link is the winner!" The man on the podium announced to the crowd. I cheered for Link and clapped my hands. The crowd than exploded. They all stood up and clapped. Torrik, who was not clapping at all, stood up and started to walk down to the battle field.

He walked onto the vast patch of land Link was standing upon, and he pulled out the sword strapped to his back. He pointed it at Link, and said,

"By the blood and rights of the knight commander, I Torrik Yuga, challenge Link Hansen to a battle of blades! The winner gets to be the princess appointed knight. Understood?"

The crowd gasped and Link, surprised, pulled out his own sword, and whispered under his breath,

"Bring it on old man."
