Green

I looked at my father, waiting him to intervene, but he just sat there. I waved my arms, trying to get his attention, but his eyes were fixed on the battlefield. I looked down at the fight folding out before me, and saw blades flying. Link's green tunic swayed with the wind, and I was mesmerized. Never before have I seen such a skilled swordsman.

Link held his stance ready, and ran forward, strait at Torrik. What was he doing! He was going to lose! But, when he came within three feet of him, he did something extraordinary. He dropped to his knees, and dived through Torrik's open legs, coming out behind him, and striking his open back.

Surprise flashed on Torrik's face, and he fell. The crowd cheered, and Link bowed. I looked at my father, and for a second I saw a look of displeasure on his face. He then switched to a neutral expression, and looked around, hoping no one saw that disapproving look on his face.

I had no time to ponder this, because silence fell over the crowd. I looked back down at the stadium, and saw that Torrik was madly swinging at Link, who tried to defend from the uncontrolled blade. I could hear people shouting to stop the fight. My father ignored them, and I could sense fear rising in my chest.

I stood up, and started to walk down to the fight below. I could feel the little pinpricks of heat as I knew people were staring at me. My boots touched the battle field and I could see the entire fight fold out in front of me. The entire world seemed to go in slow motion, and I could see myself running forward, and putting myself between the two soldiers, and yelling,

"STOP!"
