There's a girl with black, pixie cut hair sitting next to Matheo, and the 2 other girls look like twins with red hair and freckles. They look alot like leo. I sit down next to one of the redheads, Ember sitting on my other side.
"Oh hey Loreley." Matheo flashes a smile my way. "Have you met these girls before?" I shake my head.
"Oh ok well this is Raven," He puts an arm around the black haired girl. She smiles at him. ", my girlfriend" I give her a smile, and kick Ember softly under the table.
"And this is Lana and Lilliana, Leo's triplet sisters" The lanky red haired girls smile.
"Your Loreley right? Loreley Anlaun."Lana asks. I nod.
"Yeah, thats me." I take a mouthful of potatoes, not wanting to get any questions.
"She's the one that threatened to skin me earlier," Matheo says with a huge grin. I groan
"You're not gonna let that go, are you?" I ask. He shaked his head, his curls flopping around.
"Nope," he says. Raven laughs.
"Yeah he's good at that, annoying the shit out of people." Matheo fakes offense, taking his arm off her shoulders and pouting. Raven laughs again and kisses his cheek. I roll my eyes at their cheesiness and turn to Lilliana, the triplet that's next to me.
" So, triplets huh?" She nods.
"Yeah. Runs in the family. Lana, Leo and I have been basically inseparable since birth. Mom and Dad weren't at all surprised when we all decided to enroll in the academy." I smile.
"Yeah my parents enrolled me when they decided I was ready" she looks at me confused.
"You didn't decide yourself?" I shrug.
"I was gonna end up here whether I wanted to or not, but I want to be here." A small voice in the back of my mind screams 'no you don't', but I shove it back.
We continue to talk, but I soon lose interest when it turns to love lives. My only comment on it is,
"Never dated, probably never will." I shrug a bit and finish up my food, using my empty tray as an excuse to leave. Once I Put my tray away, I search for Alix. I know for a fact that she will never talk about boys. (laughter) She's sitting at her corner table, talking to Hadeon. Hm weird.
I walk over slowly, watching to try and gauge the mood. Weirdly enough, they both seem sheepish and awkward. REALLY weird. Hadeon is never awkward.
Neither of them has noticed me yet, so I decide to mess around a bit and sneak up on Alix. Better be ready to duck though so she doesn't decapitate me. Hadeon is asking something rather hesitant, and my brain screeches to a halt when I hear what he asks.
"Oh, are you and Loreley uhm..." He hesitates, "Together?" He finally asks. My arms drop to my side and I stay still, hoping neither of them notices me. Alix just sits there for a moment before recovering.
"Oh yeah, of course we are. We've been going steady ever since we met. Just this morning, actually." Her voice is so full of sarcasm I can barely hear the accent.
"Oh- ok then" He says, completely oblivious of the joke. Alix grains, and I almost do the same. How is this the same dude who graduated a year early from the academy."No, you doofus, we only met this morning. Plus, I think she hates me." I crinkle my eyebrows at her words, and just then Hadeon notices me. His eyes widen before he shifts his eyes back to Alix and smiles. I just stay where I am, my eyes wide.
"Nah, she doesn't hate you." He says with a twinkle in his eyes. His gaze shifts back to me, and Alix turns to see me. She doesn't even jump, but her skin becomes paler than usual. "Uh....hOw exactly did that conversation come up?" My voice is high pitched and my eyes dart from Hadeon to Alix and back again. Alix's jaw drops a bit.
"Uhm, why didn't you tell me she was standing there?" She glares at Hadeon ,who is smirking.
"I just thought you guys needed to open up to one another, let your feelings out." He fakes a calm voice and replaces his smirk with a fake calm. He folds his hands in front of him and exaggeratedly straightens his back.
"Now I think you two need some alone time to talk." He stands, "I'll leave you to it." and with that he speed walks away. I glare daggers at his back as he leaves.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?!" Alix yells after him but he's already disappeared. She looks up at me and says with a sigh,
"I'm glad he's your sibling and not mine." I snort and plop down next to her.
"You're the only one." I pause for a moment. "So what were you guys talking about exactly.......?" I pull out one of my dark blades and twirl it uneasily between my fingers. She grunts before saying,
"It started out as a normal conversation about Sherlock," She picks up an apple with something carved into it. I O U slowly turns by as she rotates it on the tip of her knife.
"Oh yeah Hadeon is a huge Sherlockian." I snort again "Such a geek." Alix's eyes widen over her hood that she had pulled down when I sat next to her and she mumbles,
"Unless that's the kind of thing you like." she continues twirling my apple. I slap my knife down and look at her in a mix of shock and what the hell is wrong with you?, which happen to be the exact words running through my head,
"Ok what is wrong with everyone tonight." I throw my arms up in exasperation.
"Alright, I'm gonna go to the dorm before someone else decides to act weird, I'll see you later." I grab my knife and stand, walking away while shaking my head and mumbling,
"What did they put in the food tonight?"
I walk back to the dorm, My mind spinning. Since when does Alix like people. I've only known her for a day and I know she is NOT a people person. Not to mention that person is my brother of all people. I shake my head and clear the thoughts away, not in the mood to even think about it.
