Chapter 39 - Race Car (PT1)
Day Before Prom - T-minus 36 hours
"Alright it's 9 AM. We're on schedule," Lexi sighs sitting in a giant brown chair. We're at the nail salons right now getting our nails done for prom tomorrow night.
"We'll be fine," Jenny assures.
"Pick a nail colour. We have to leave by 11 AM max," Lexi demands.
"Storm, what colour dress did you choose," Lexi asks.
"Um, I didn't choose one," I retort jumping into a large brown chair next to her.
"You have too. I know you and Chris are having a um, rough patch, we'll say but choose a dress. You deserve it," Lexi sighs looking through the nail colours.
"Well I was thinking about maybe the red or pink one," I reply honestly.
"Good, get this colour," Lexi says pointing to a colour. You'll have to wait till prom night to know what I choose.
"I think it's cute and matches the dress really well," Jenny says hopping into the chair next to me.

We finally got our nails done. It was really weird doing nails in a cast. Pretty sure the nail technician got some nail polish on my cast. Now we're at a hair salon. Lexi wants to get layers and Jenny is trying out curtain bangs. I on the other hand am getting highlights. I didn't want to do anything with my hair at first but Jenny and Lexi think it'll look good especially since the ombré grew out.
"Damn we look hot," Lexi says, taking a picture of us.
"We do, don't we," Jenny agrees.
"Storm, you haven't said much. Are you okay," Lexi questions. Am I? No, but will I be. No.
"Yeah, just tired," I lie, smiling into the photo. Biggest lie ever but at least I didn't say I'm fine.
"What's on the schedule for tomorrow," Jenny asks Lexi as we leave the hair salon.
"Breakfast at 9am. Escape room at 12. Lunch and getting ready at 2. Pictures at 5 and prom at 8," Lexi retorts. She memorized it all last night, more in depth but you get the main idea.
"What're we going to do between the time we have pictures and prom," I ask.
"Well pictures will probably take 2 hours since we are going to a few different spots. That leaves an hour for touch ups, snacks and hydrating," Lexi explains. She has everything planned out.
"Spa day and makeup trial run time," Jenny's laughs.
"Let's get it," Lexi yells. I love these guys.

Evening before the day of prom: T-minus 28 Hours
"No pictures to your boy-toy," Lexi says, taking Jenny's phone.
"I just wanted to show him my new haircut," Jenny pouts.
"He'll see tomorrow. Trust me the wait will be worth it," Lexi whispers. She's got a point.
"Alright we'll at least pass the pizza," Jenny says.
Basically we had a little spa day at Jenny's. We also watched movies and ate junk food. It was fun, sadly we had to get back to our dorms before 9 but Jenny and Lexi stayed over.

Morning of Prom: T-minus 13 Hours
"Storm, get your ass up. You have exactly 40 minutes to get ready," Lexi yells.
