"Eat shit, Dazai!"It was 5 years ago, and Dazai and Chuuya were doing their routinely training out in a large empty field that only they knew about. They came here often, to more or less beat each other up and call it a good work ethic.
Chuuya swung his leg past Dazai's head, only to have the taller male duck and swung backward. He then caught the other executives leg, then twisted it backward so he would fall to the ground.
Chuuya growled as Dazai spit his tongue at him mockingly.
There was nothing but endless emptiness for miles upon miles, and the dark-brown sun faded grass swayed slightly in the night breeze. A couple clouds scattered the sky, but not enough to cover the bright moon from shining down on the two Port Mafia executives.
Chuuya got up with rage and swung towards Dazai once more, except this time he didn't hold back.
What the hell?
Chuuya felt like he couldn't control his own movements. This had never happened before... he struggled against his instinct, but nothing seemed to fish him out of the tide.
Chuuya slowly start to drift into an uncomfortable unconsciousness. Bright red marks covered his pale skin, and the subconscious in his head told him to stay awake no matter what. Feeling uncontrollably nauseous, Chuuya's lips curled up as he stopped the advance on Dazai."Woah... you okay Chuuya? Seems like the princess underestimated the powerful, scary glare that I have obtained-"
Before Dazai could finish, he was knocked over before he even saw it coming.
Chuuya's once pale blue eyes were taken place with a ghost-like white, and he seemed to gain a superhuman strength despite his small build. Using his ability, Dazai found it to be stronger than what it normally was. The molecules that made up the gravity around them slowly sped up, and went under the control of Chuuya. This time it made what seemed to be a black hole- completely devoid of any space. That couldn't possibly be right though, right?
Chuuya swung into Dazai's stomach, making the tall man fall backward with a high force. His dark-brown hair flew over his face as he looked up at Chuuya.
"Chuuya, why are you being so serious all the sudden-"
He was caught off once again, when another forceful punch was caught in his stomach. This time, his rib punctured some organ, and Dazai coughed up a blood that tasted like metal.
Chuuya swung once again as the marks on his forearms and cheeks swelled, growing larger. Dazai escaped this one, albeit barely. He stood up quickly before facing Chuuya, holding his stomach.
The orange-haired executive seemed to form a ball of nothingness and everything in his palm and swung it at Dazai. Dazai flew back into a brown tree as he felt some of his backbones crunch. It was getting harder to breathe, but he still felt a force on his chest.
Was this the power of gravity itself?Chuuya knew that Dazai's ability wasn't one for direct combat, so normally he wouldn't try to hurt him this much.
"Chuuya- stop!-"
When Chuuya came to sock Dazai once more, Dazai stuck his arm out before Chuuya could get to him. Using his ability, Dazai forced his hand into Chuuya's wrist. A bright light displayed itself as well as the scent of pureness. He finally nullified whatever power that Chuuya held.
Chuuya fell to the ground, panting. Dazai also slid down the tree with a grunt and rubbed his back.
Chuuya coughed and coughed. Hot tears were streaming down his face as he looked into the cool grass blades. He hiccuped, soon plopping to the ground unable to keep his own weight steady. Dazai was so confused, what had just happened?"I-I'm sorry Dazai- I don't know what just happened. I couldn't control- I didn't even know-"
Chuuya struggled to obtain hold on his words as he looked over at Dazai.Dazai looked down at his partner, bewildered. With a soft grunt he sat up and attempted to stand. The power that Chuuya just had was so strange., and he was trying to tell him he didn't know?
"So you're telling me you couldn't control it?"
Chuuya nodded slightly before sitting up, finally regaining his strength.
"How strange... I wonder what would have happened if I hadn't stopped you."
Dazai pondered as he looked up at the stars and moon in the dark night sky. He wasn't scared about Chuuya's actual power, or how it even happened, which was strange.Chuuya didn't want to think about it. If he couldn't have even sensed when he was about to go uncontrollable, and if he didn't know when or how he did it, then he would probably go way to far if he wasn't stopped.
"Hm?"
Dazai looked over at Chuuya's arms.Where the red marks had once lay, there were bloodied spots. It seems as if the muscle had tore.
"Well if only a couple seconds did that then, I kinda don't really want to imagine what would have happened if I stayed like that-"
Dazai smiled.
"You know, it might be pretty interesting to see your muscles slowly tearing apart and breaking..."Chuuya breathed hard and looked away from Dazai's gaze.
"Then why did you do it?""To save my ass of course! You were about to literally crush me with gravity. I want to die, but that kind of seems more of a method of torture!"
Chuuya scoffed.
"Well if you want me to kill you why didn't you just ask me?"
He slid a pocket knife from his belt and unsheathed it."That's not suicide either! That's just murder... come on now, Chuuya. You should know the difference!"
Chuuya let a smile escape his lips before turning serious again. What had actually happened? He didn't understand it himself.
Dazai saw that he was worried.
"Don't worry about it! As long as you stay relatively close to me, we shouldn't have an issue."The bandages on his arms seemed to flow with his words, and Chuuya looked up into his light-brown eyes that showed nothing but calmness.
Chuuya supposed he was right, and just decided to listen to him and leave it at that. He looked over at him and smiled, he wasn't planning on killing his own self anytime soon anyway, he would leave that to Dazai.
