It was late at night, the stars in the sky shone onto the glistening calm sea waters as the landscaping was at ease with sleep.  Chuuya was in a deep sleep himself, sprawled about his sheets while his orange hair was getting tangled with his face.

He felt a buzz and a ringtone sound.  At first it was in his dream, then he realized it was coming from reality.  Reluctantly, he opened his blue-gray eyes and searched for his phone.  Once he found it, he was blinded by the bright light that it admitted.

Chuuya looked at the caller ID and sighed in both annoyance and a little bit of relief.  It was Dazai, but why would he be calling at this hour?

Chuuya brought the phone up to his ear and continued to look up at his ceiling as he waited for the call to go through.

"Good early morning Chuuya!  Hey, meet me at the strip mall downtown quick if you can.  I think you may find a little interest in this case I'm working on!"
Dazai's voice sounded muffled and scratchy through the phone, which wasn't the same soft but scary voice you heard when you were in person with him.

Before Chuuya could mumble out a response, he heard a long beep indicating that Dazai had hung up.  He wasn't sure what he meant by his words, but Chuuya was a little glad to hear from Dazai again, no matter how much he didn't want to admit it.

~
Chuuya's favorite way of travel was by his motorcycle, but it was hard for him to abide by the laws most of the time.  It was just so tempting to him to use his ability, but he kept it under profile and went the speed limit.

He was still sleepy but the bright street lamps and headlights of cars caught his attention.  Chuuya was getting close to the large intersection at which the strip mall was at.

Taking a sharp turn, he twisted into one of the long driveways that the port city had.  Dazai was nowhere to be found, but could he really expect him to show up on time?

Chuuya put the stand up on his bike and kept it near him.  Grabbing a cigarette from his pocket, he put his hand up to guide the flames from the wind.

He tilted his head back and just waited.

Chuuya wasn't sure how long it had been, he might have even fallen back asleep.  He felt a prescience by him and knew it must be Dazai, so he opened his eyes.

"You know, Chuuya, smoking really isn't good for you."
A voice said from the shadows.

A man came out in his usual tan overcoat and formal attire, although his hair looked like a mop atop of his head.  The glass from the windows reflected his tall appearance as he looked longingly at Chuuya.

"What the hell took so long man?"
Chuuya said with annoyance.

"Well, this late at night is the best time to commit suicide, no one will get in my way.  So, I had to make a quick pitstop before I came."
Dazai talked about such a heavy subject with little empathy for himself.

"Should've figured..."
Chuuya mumbled just enough so that Dazai wouldn't hear him.

"Anyway, what do you want?  I kinda have my own thing to do, even though it isn't as interesting as trying to kill myself."

Dazai looked around then back at Chuuya.
"I found out this really cool secret about the Port Mafia.  A couple of traders to the organization are meeting me here.  I had to lie and say that I joined back to be a Mafioso, so I really hope that rumor didn't get far."

Chuuya took the cigarette from his mouth and stomped it on the hard cement to break the risk of fires.

"Oookkaaaayyyy but why would you care about who a Port Mafia trader is?"

Dazai looked around once more then glared into the smaller males eyes.
"Because they wish to assassinate a certain executive."

"What?-"
Chuuya didn't get the chance to finish his sentence.

A dart flew into his neck and put its drugs into his bloodstream.  Chuuya fell back a little, not only was it a poisonous dart, but by the smell he could also tell it had rat poison on the needle.

Chuuya held his neck and pulled the dart out and looked down at the bloody needle, then behind him at the one who shot it.

Two men, that's all.  Did they really think they would be able to take Chuuya down?  Even with poison in his system, it would prove a challenge to actually take the man out.

They raised their guns, but before they could even put their finger on the trigger Chuuya ran towards them with bloodlust.  He jumped slightly in the air, feeling the ground beneath him shudder as he used his gift to change gravity.

He kicked one of the men to the ground, then stood on his chest.  Cracks were hear along with the gurgling of blood in his mouth as ribs were broken and punctured his lungs.

Dazai sped by Chuuya's side and took his own gun out and shot the other man dead, then put a bullet in Chuuya's target to silence him.

~
Chuuya's knees fell weak as the poison reached more of his bloodstream.  This was no ordinary way to commit a murder, and this was no ordinary poison.

"Damnit!  He wasn't supposed to hit you with that dart... ah well.  You aren't too far gone yet, maybe there is still saving you?"
Dazai didn't seem to worried but there was just a hint of unsureness in his voice.

Chuuya sat on the ground and looked at the puddles of blood from the two attackers.  They were just... laying in it, so still.

Dazai walked over to Chuuya and put a bandaged wrist on his head to keep him from falling over.  Chuuya felt his body get all warm as he felt darkness take over, he was passing out.

"Chuuya... that poison was an ability."
That was the last thing the executive heard before passing back into a deep sleep.
