Jungkook felt like his heart was going to burst out of his chest with how hard it was pounding against his ribcage.
The world felt so small and suffocating. Breathing was difficult. His vision was blurred and his mind hazy. Repeating the awful image of something that had been sent to him. It looked bloody and cut open by some awful, jagged knife. It was a wonder he managed to drive to the docks without getting into an accident. He ignored everything. Traffic signs and lights meant nothing to him right now. All that mattered was Jimin. When he pulled up to the docks, he turned off the car after it rolled to a stop. The lights shutting off and leaving him in total darkness as he stared forward at nothing and everything at the same time. Jungkook closed his eyes tightly, raising his hands and pressing his palms against them as he let out a shuddered breath. Jimin had to be fine. There was no way that life could be this cruel to them both. After all the shit that Jimin alone had endured for most of his life until now, all Jungkook could do was silently beg for mercy. Jungkook was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice the car that pulled up behind him. He didn't hear the rushed footsteps, or the panic filled scent that flooded the air. When the harsh rasp of knuckles against the glass of his window yanked him out of his own head, he pulled his hands away and turned and found himself looking up at a wide-eyed Taehyung. Jungkook stared at Taehyung for a moment before he moved to unlock his door, pushing it open as Taehyung stepped back. Jungkook found it difficult to move, but his boot touched against the gravel underneath of the car as he pulled himself out with all the strength he could muster. Before he could do or say anything, Taehyung's hands grabbed ahold of his shoulders as he shook him a little.
"Jungkook!? Jungkook! Hey! Are you okay!?" Taehyung asked, he seemed to realize that Jungkook wasn't in the right state of mind.
Jungkook met Taehyung's gaze directly and stared into those panicked eyes for what felt forever before he suddenly snapped out of his stupor, his own eyes growing wide.
"Tae..." Jungkook said.
"Yeah, it's me buddy. You okay? You here with me?" Taehyung asked.
Jungkook closed his eyes, giving a small nod.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm good. We have to find Jimin. He is here somewhere." Jungkook said.
Taehyung let out a sigh of relief before he released Jungkook and turned to look at the rows of warehouses that rested on the dock and he frowned.
"Right. Lets get started then. He might need medical attention." Taehyung said.
"Did you call for a bus?" Jungkook asked, turning and walking around to his trunk as he opened it and shuffled around inside, finding his bag.
"Yeah, along with CSU, just in case." Taehyung said, his voice soft.
Jungkook paused for a moment before he kept moving, pulling out a pair of flashlights and his bulletproof vest. Tossing Taehyung one of the flashlights, he slipped on his vest, making sure it was secure before he slammed the trunk down. Slicking the loose strands of his hair that escaped the messy manbun a top of his head, he walked towards Taehyung as he checked his gun to make sure the clip was full and ready to go.
"We should split up, we can cover more ground that way." Jungkook said, turning on his own flashlight as he glanced at his former partner.
"You sure that is a good idea? Whoever could be waiting for us." Taehyung said.
Jungkook frowned, his eyes narrowed.
"You can wait here if you want, but I'm going. Jimin needs me." Jungkook said.
