It felt like a lifetime ago.

The last time Jimin had been on this type of scene. It was a part of his past that he wanted to forget about, leave behind and pretend never happened. Unfortunately for him, outrunning his past was proving difficult to say the least. The booming of trap music gave him a headache as he walked into the club. The flashing of neon lights made him dizzy. The smell of alcohol weed, and various other drugs and body odor made him nauseous. Either he was getting old or he truly had outgrown this lifestyle. Jimin frowned as he looked around and when he spotted his target, he slowly made his way over. Giving a quick glance to the Omegas that were dressed in barely anything and dancing on the pole just like he used to back in the day. Well, he was a tad bit more flexible, but nonetheless, he had shared the profession at one point. Like most Omegas, this was usually where they ended up if they couldn't hook their claws into an Alpha or even a Beta. It was a sad reality, but the truth of their society.

As Jimin got closer to the bar, his plump lips formed a frown. He slid onto the stool and glanced to the side at the familiar face of his old friend – Jung Hoseok.

"Really? We couldn't meet somewhere else?" Jimin asked, his displeasure obvious.

A soft chuckle, drowned out by the music, left the taller male known as Hoseok as he turned his head to look at Jimin. His eyes large and bright, his face gentle and warm and his overall aura was pleasant and welcome as always. It was hard to believe that someone like Hoseok was wrapped up in this kind of business but looks could be deceiving.

"Sorry Min, but places like this make it harder for people to notice us." Hoseok said as he set down the bottle of beer he'd been nursing while he waited.

Jimin sighed, when the bartender approached him, he simply asked for a water with some lemon. Hoseok's brow quirked.

"What? You aren't having a drink?" Hoseok asked.

Jimin shrugged lightly.

"Wouldn't do well to be drunk while I am trying to avoid being killed don't you think?" Jimin asked.

Hoseok's eyes lifted, but he looked back to his own drink and pursed his lips in a pout.

"I'm not drunk." Hoseok said.

"Yeah, yeah. So, where are we at with this whole Valentine situation?" Jimin asked.

Hoseok let out a sigh, picking up the bottle and pressing it against his lips before speaking.

"Well, I confirmed that he is indeed here in the city. It seems like that fact hasn't gone unnoticed by our boys in blue. I'm sure we have you to thank for that." Hoseok said as he side glanced at Jimin as he finally took a sip.

"I didn't have a choice; I couldn't just disappear without telling him anything Hyung. He is my husband." Jimin said, taking the glass of water and pushing the lemon around with his straw.

"Is that really all it is? A small part of you isn't hoping that he will get involved and be able to stop Valentine?" Hoseok asked.

Jimin was quiet, taking a sip from his water instead of answering, but the slight sourness that came over his scent let Hoseok know he wasn't far off.

"Anyway, that aside, Valentine is going to be careful no doubt until he can get himself straight." Hoseok said.

"So, what does that mean for me?" Jimin asked.

"It means, your window to get the hell out of Korea is short, so best make use of it." Hoseok said.

Jimin's eyes widened as he sat up straight, staring at Hoseok like he'd lost his mind.

"Get out of Korea? What the hell? Hyung, no." Jimin said.

Hoseok closed his eyes as he set his bottle down a little hard.

"Jimin. If you stay here, he is going to hunt you down and fucking kill you, don't you get that? You not only fucked with his money, but you ratted to the police. You know too much about his operations and him, he isn't about to let you just walk around free and clear when he is back here." Hoseok said as he turned his head and stared at Jimin.

Jimin's eyes lowered as he looked down into his water.

"Hyung, I can't." Jimin said.

"Why the hell not? Because of this Alpha of yours? He will be fine; your life is more important than his feelings being hurt." Hoseok said.

"I would never be able to come back." Jimin said.

"Maybe so, but you would be alive." Hoseok said.

Jimin closed his eyes as he pushed his hands against his face, leaning down on the counter some as he squeezed at his hair.

"Hyung, I can't do that to him. Jungkook went through hell to save me. He deserves more than me being selfish and doing this to him." Jimin said.

Hoseok closed his eyes, sighing as he rubbed his face with his hand before he shifted to sit up straight himself.

"Then if I was you, I would go back to him." Hoseok said.

Jimin moved his hands, looking to the side at Hoseok as he shifted to get up.

"But – "Jimin started, but Hoseok cut him off by raising his hand to silence him as he shook his head and frowned down at Jimin.

"If you plan to stay in Korea, you are safer with the police and FBI. But the longer you stay on the street, alone, you risk being spotted by Valentine or his goons and getting snatched up. I can't protect you Min, not if you want to stay here, so go back to him, get off the street and tell them everything they need to bring that son of a bitch down." Hoseok said.

Jimin shifted to stand up, looking up at Hoseok.

"And what about you? You aren't exactly safe either." Jimin said.

Hoseok tilted his head, offering a small smile as he scratched at his cheek with his finger and shrugged.

"You know me, I don't have any problem disappearing." Hoseok said, glancing to the side as Jimin quirked a brow.

"You know, I forgot to ask what you are suddenly doing back in town yourself." Jimin said, crossing his arms over his chest.

Hoseok stiffened before he turned away from Jimin, making a nervous face.

"Work." Hoseok said.

Jimin's eyes narrowed before he glanced the other over.

"Work huh? This work have a name?" Jimin asked.

Hoseok pouted, glancing at Jimin.

"You are too sharp for your own good, do you realize that?" Hoseok asked.

"It's what kept me alive, but fine, don't tell me." Jimin said as Hoseok shifted to pull his wallet out of his pocket, placing the money down for their drinks as he sighed.

"Maybe someday I can tell you, but not right now. Your main focus needs to be getting back with your Alpha. I will drive you somewhere to be picked up, but let's make it quick yeah?" Hoseok said.

Jimin frowned but nodded as he reached in his pocket and pulled out his phone. Turning it on, when the wallpaper came up, a picture of Jungkook and himself posing for a goofy selca, his expression softened. Jungkook must be so worried about him. Jimin quickly tapped on the other's name and placed the phone to his ear as Hoseok led him through the crowd and out of the club.
