Wᴀʟᴋ ᴏғ sʜᴀᴍᴇ

Early morning, when most aren't awake, a male was making his way from his home to the Knights of Favonius headquarters to start his day. However, he was dragging his feet along the way opposite of how he'd usually make his way to work. He rubbed his S/c forehead in an attempt to ease the throbbing headache. His ears twitched at every sound and his tail droops to match his mood.
"This is by far the longest walk to work in my entire life-"

"I wonder why~"

"Ack-Venti?!"The Anemo archon giggles gleefully as he drops down next to his favorite person in all of Mondstadt.
"Wanna talk about it?"

"Not in the open, I wouldn't dare have anyone hear this. Women love to gossip when it comes to me and another...So let's discuss this in my office."

"Okay!!"Venti was truly looking forward to whatever M/n had to tell him, you see, Venti was at the tavern that night with the male but has no idea what happened after he left.
The walk didn't drag on for much longer and the two were now seated in the office with cups of tea.
"So, tell me everything and I mean everything, my dear child!"

"Fine, it started yesterday morning."

"M/n, it's me or the knights."

"You can't be serious Diluc! I've been working as the Taction for the entirety of my life! I can't just drop it because you don't like the Knights. Honestly, that's like me asking you to choose between me and your winery, we both know that answer. I don't expect for you to give up something that makes you happy, so why should I drop what give me joy because you don't like it?"M/n couldn't believe that he was having this kind of argument with Diluc. The two have been in a relationship for five years now.

It was quite surprising given M/n's position as the Taction. Though it had its ups and downs retaining to the knights, however, it has never been like this.
"The knights are useless. I will always stand by that opinion of mine."

"And that's fine, I can't change your mind just like you can't make me leave my job! For the sake of Barbatos, why are you so hellbent on my leaving the knights?! We've been together for five years and they were the best years of my life...What happened?"

"....I....I don't love you as I loved you a couple of months ago..." M/n's ears slump forward and his tail drops as dread hung over him like a sheet.
"Then...What are we doing?"

"I don't know, but what I do know is that it's over between us."

"If that's what you desire..."The taller male didn't want to show how hurt he was, so he didn't waste time asking for Diluc to leave his house so he could head off to work.

The day dragged for M/n, he couldn't focus at all due to his pent-up emotions.
"Oh dear Taction, it's late. Would you like to head to the tavern for a few drinks?"

"Afternoon Kaeya...Uhh no I still have work to do-"

"Nope none of that, let's head there now. It's happy hour and Diluc isn't there to pester us about drinking too much!"M/n lets out a soft chuckle then stands from his desk, he did need a drink after the mornings' events and it would be a great distraction.
"Alright Kaeya, just this once."

"Finally my dear friend wants to hang out with me instead of being responsible!"

"Don't make me regret this Kae."Kaeya nearly trips over his own feet when hearing that nickname.
"You haven't called me Kae is in so long."

"That's because Diluc hated when I would call you that."

"I don't understand how you managed to survive for five going one six years-"

"About that... Diluc and I aren't together as of this morning. So I guess I can do whatever I want again."Kaeya was saddened by this, he always liked the two together but at the same time, he was a bit happy, why you may wonder? Kaeya has had a crush on the H/c haired fox for a while but he wouldn't dare act on it out of respect for Diluc, but now it was free game. So the two head over to the tavern and of course Venti was there drinking and playing his Lyre for the regulars.

Kaeya and M/n take a seat further away from everyone and drink.

It didn't take much for Kaeya to get drunk but it did take about six more for M/n to follow behind him.
"Shit...I...I drank too much.."M/n slurs while attempting to stand and leave but he noticed that Kaeya wasn't moving, so being who he was, M/n helps Kaeya up and out of the Tavern. However, there was a problem... Kaeya's home was further and M/n wasn't sober enough to make that walk. Which leads to M/n bring Kaeya home with him.

"Well?"

"Well, what?"

"What happened after that?! What happened when you got home?!"M/n sighs, he couldn't remember what happened but according to seeing Kaeya in his bed naked, they had sex and there were marks to prove it.
"I feel like a scumbag!"M/n whines while dropping his head onto his hands. Venti reaches over and pats his adopted son on the head but suddenly thought about it.
"You're walking perfectly fine..."

"Who said I was on the receiving end?"

"Well, I owe Lisa five hundred mora."

"With what money old man?"
