Now seated at the local outdoor restaurant, Kaeya and M/n ordered their food and took to having a conversation. The night to them was full of their chatter, none the wiser to the looks of others; either confused or shocked to see the two together and know how Diluc would react. "Oh sorry, I forgot to ask for your drinks! Would you like grape juice-"The look on Kaeya's face was priceless to M/n. "Or tea?"
"I'll take Tea before I ever drink grape juice..."
"I'll take the tea as well."The waitress nods with a charming smile before head off to grab the needed drinks. "What's up with you and grape juice?"
"Ugh, I can't believe that some people actually drink grape juice... If they had a little more patience, they would find that it ferments into the most exquisite wine. Hmph! So unromantic."
"Quite the stance you have, hahaha."Kaeya chuckles as well, but now it was his turn to know more about M/n's dislike; seemingly the only one on the surface. "Now, it's my turn! What's your deal with bar food?"M/n shutters at the question then glance over at the cat's tail bar. "It's a monstrosity to all and Diona traumatized me..."
"Traumatized? Oh, I have to hear this story! Diona isn't that old in the first place, so when did this happen."
"Three years back when she was five. We all know Diona's...Very strange drink combinations. My stance on bar food wasn't as bad until that day. She plops a plate down in front of me while I was slightly drunk. I assume it was a normal Grilled fish but after I took the first bite I noticed...A particular slimy taste...But it didn't stop there! Something was still moving...When I pulled it back there was slime concentrate, a still-active lizard tail, and a rotten philanemo mushroom at the bottom which explained the fungus taste...When I looked around I saw others also eating the strange food combination, I became light-headed and passed out from shock!"Kaeya was too shocked to even laugh at the poor fox in front of him.
All Kaeya could do was pat the talker male in the shoulder. "Yikes, I knew at some point in time that Diona would traumatize someone but I didn't think it would be you."
"After that, I couldn't stomach the thought of bar food or Lizard tails. That's why I'm reluctant to help Albedo with his findings." Kaeya chuckles lightly as the waitress drops off two teacups and hurries back. "Hahaha, no wonder you go green in the face when you see a lizard's tail lying about."
"Ugh, thinking about it all over again makes me want to pass out."
"I won't be able to carry you if you do but I can cradle your head in my lap till you wake~"Kaeya mumbles flirtatiously while looking up at M/n from his teacup only to winch from the near scolding tea. "Kae?"
"Dear Barbatos, that's hotter than it should be!"
"Here, sugar cubes help ease burns on tongues."Without thinking, M/n slides his hand underneath Kaeya's chin, gently holds the cryo user's mouth open, and places a sugar cube on his tongue. This surprised Kaeya much more than he assumed it would; causing him to let out a startled moan of surprise. This nearly causes the waitress to drop their food as a blush spreads across her face from the view. "Uuuuhh, sorry!!! Here's your food!"
"...." Both males sat there for a second before laughing at the shocked look on her face after she ran off from their table. "Ew, Public display of affection."
"Hello, Albedo. Have you seen the little star as if late?"Albedo nods lightly and mentioned that he had the blondie gathering some things for him. "I saw Diluc trail after him like a lost puppy...That was disgusting... Aren't you two in a relationship?"
"Nope, not anymore."
"Hm...What a waste, I waiting for wedding bells between you. Well, all good comes to an end I see. If I were him, I'd never let you go. You cook the best food I've ever had, your heart is golden, you're mature, you're incredibly handsome, and you have a stable life. Not saying that Aether isn't mature but he's destined to leave Teyvat with his sister someday and I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a thing for Diluc...Hmmm, it's strange. Wait, that's not the reason I came over here, Klee found a lizards nest-"Before Albedo could finish that last part there was a giant explosion that sounds off from just outside of Mondstadt's wall, and what came with it, made M/n sick to his stomach; hundreds of lizards and Lizard tails.
To make it even worse, a tail plops into M/n's tea and it was still moving. "I...I'm not hungry anymore..."
"What unfortunate timing."Kaeya chuckles lightly as M/n S/c face pales at the sight of Lizards and their tails everywhere.
