Later that night as the two got ready to flop onto the be and Sleep, Kaeya suddenly remembered what the twins told him.
"Hey, M/n?"

"Yes, my curious peacock?"

"The twins told me about your friend from a hundred years ago, Miss Luna."M/n sat up after hearing the name of his old friend with a smile. He then pats the area next to him on the bed; beckoning Kaeya to sit with him and of course, the peacock drops down on the spot and lies his head down in M/n's lap.
"Luna De Sitri was a stubborn woman. More so than Jean when it came to working. We didn't get along in the beginning, we butt heads so much until our petty arguments turned into light-hearted banter. Then she became the Calvary captain after being a regular knight for so long. We became inseparable after that, we fought every battle we came across together. Then the battle of ruins happened...We were so sure we'd win but that damn ruin grader came down from Dragon spine."M/n's eyes gloss over as he recalls the event of that day.

It was still very fresh in his memory, isn't wasn't his favorite but he didn't believe that Luna shouldn't be forgotten.
"That's when our vigor dropped but just for that moment but we pushed forward. During the battle against the grader, a merchant came out of know where and was on a fast track to losing his life but thanks to Luna, he survived. I was devastated, I rushed to Luna just as she took her dying breath and with a smile, she told me not to be sad and that she lived a great life. Last before she stopped breathing, Luna told me to protect what I hold dear, no matter the cost. So I did, I reached what is known as the Apex and took down the remaining Ruin's."

"It must have been hard on everyone to lose Luna."M/n gave a nod, he explained that the city went through a week of sorrow but remembered that Luna wouldn't want them to be sad forever.
"I carry Luna's memories with me wherever I go. You know, if Luna was still alive you two would get along great, She loved all kinds of wine and was my light drinking buddy back then."

"I bet we would have! But speaking of Apex...I sorta reached mine a few hours ago."

"Huh!? Dear Archons are you okay?!"Kaeya was immediately pulled up so M/n could check him for a new scare but found nothing new.
"What uhh happened?"

"Diluc nearly harmed Cambria during their attempt to getting him to leave the Archipelago, they explained that Diluc didn't want to leave by choice so they decide on force to get him to go back. Cambria tried to reason with Diluc on a personal level but Diluc struck out at Cambria while he was unarmed. If it wasn't for me, Luc would be bleeding out somewhere on the beach. In the midst of me threatening him, I felt everything around my being to change, it was like I was one with my element but I quickly backed out soon after."M/n sighs softly then plops a kiss onto Kaeya's blush navy blue hair.
"I want you to remember this, your Apex is a last resort. That amount of power is known to kill humans and I wouldn't be able to bare losing you."

"Oh, my dear fox! I won't ever leave you! Literally! We're bonded but I'll make sure not to use this power I gained too much, emergencies only!"

"Thanks, my love. Also, sorry about the mess we created while you were gone...I turned my back for two seconds and that ass that was munching on the Aburaage your made me...He gave me a very familiar smug smirk and it both pissed me off and made me want to laugh...Maybe Venti learned that from him."
M/n chuckles lightly and Kaeya tilts his head a bit; hoping that M/n would tell him more about the older men.
"I know that look and since I don't know much of biological father, but Venti is as you see him; a free spirit who wants nothing more than the world to be free with him. Growing up, I saw the world at such a young age, things that a child couldn't imagine, all thanks to Venti, my mother, and my family In Liyue. I inspired to be like them, free, tactical, and kind."

"But you are kind M/n."

".....The me you see now is kind. Out on the battlefield, I'm nothing short of ruthless and near-emotionless...Maybe if I just backed down that day for a second to see the merchant...Luna would have had a long and beautiful life but then again, you wouldn't be the calvary  captain I know now."Kaeya kisses M/n on the forehead; causing the fox to melt at the affection.

"So sweet, My heart will always be yours as well! Soo, may I hear one more story about your past with Luna?"M/n chuckles joyfully and thinks back on one of their most hilarious moments.
"Ah! There was this one night that Luna came storming into my room with a worried expression on her face. Oh, I can use illusions to show you that moment! Yukimura showed me how!"M/n waves his hand and the room changes and two seconds later Luna stumble into M/n's room in the illusion.

❝Lᴜʟᴜ, ʜᴏᴡ ᴍᴀɴʏ ᴛɪᴍᴇs ᴅᴏ I ʜᴀᴠᴇ ᴛᴏ ʀᴇᴍɪɴᴅ ʏᴏᴜ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴍᴀᴊᴏʀɪᴛʏ ᴏғ ᴍʏ ғᴀᴍɪʟʏ ɪs ɪɴ Lɪʏᴜᴇ ᴀɴᴅ Vᴇɴᴛɪ ᴘʀᴀᴄᴛɪᴄᴀʟ ʟɪᴠᴇs ɪɴ ᴍʏ Sᴇʀᴇɴɪᴛᴇᴀ.❞Luna lets out a startled scream then looks behind her for a second before continuing.

This woke M/n up, now sitting up and looking at Luna, an expression of horror was on both their faces.

❝Wᴇʟʟ ɴᴏᴛ ᴀɴʏᴍᴏʀᴇ! Hᴏʟʏ sʜɪᴛ, ʏᴏᴜ ᴄᴏᴜʟᴅ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ᴅɪᴇᴅ, ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴡᴇʟᴄᴏᴍᴇ.❞That didn't stop M/n from clamoring out of his room to see the chaos downstairs.
"Wow... Someone was brave enough to break into your house?!"

"Yep."
