Chapter 19

BRYCE'S POV

"What?" I asked. 

Bigla akong napa-upo. Was she asking me about Stella? And Oliver Thompson told her? Dammit. So much for friendship. Parang naisip ata ng dalawa mag-tambal para masira kami ni Natalie. 

"Who's Stella? Ollie told me she's your secretary."

I sighed. "She's my secretary before Sandee. I fired her kasi... hindi siya marunong mag-ayos ng mga paperworks ko."

"Really, love?" she asked me. 

I chuckled. Pero hollow ang labas niya. "Really. Why would I lie to my wife?" I asked. 

I flinched. Iba rin pala pag 'yon ang lumabas galing sa bibig ko. I fired Stella because you saw her on my lap with my suit jacket on and you ran out for your dear life and had our baby killed in a car crash. 

She smiled at me and then she kissed me. "Thanks for sticking to your promise, love."

Buong gabi, guilty ako. Pero I knew I had to do it or else I'd lose my wife. At ayaw ko pa mangyari 'yon. I love Natalie so much that's why I'm keeping everything from her and making with her new memories. 

Just in case I tell her, ganito ang mangyayari: She won't talk to me for a few days. She won't come home. She'd do the things that would irritate me just to get back on me. 

Sige. Naiinis nga ako when she goes through my blueprints and does something with them, but I can take it. I deserve it for being a jerk. 

I woke up. Medyo madilim pa sa labas. I looked at the clock and it said 5:03. Maaga pa. I should be at my office at around 8.

I looked at Natalie, who was sleeping in my arms and kissed her hair. Then, I slid off the bed at pumunta sa banyo para maligo. 

I'd really get that bastard. Kung alam niya lang kung gaano ako namumublema sa mga pinagsasabi niya.

I heard my phone ringing. Basa na ako at may shampoo na ang buhok ko kaya hindi na ako lumabas. Other than that, si Sandee lang yan. I told her to call me every morning to give me my scheduled meetings. 

Nang makalabas ako, nakita kong naghihintay si Natalie. She was seated on the edge of the bed, looking into space. For that moment, akala ko natandaan niya ang lahat, pero tumingin siya sa akin with a sexy smile on her lips. 

"You're done. Sana hinintay mo na ako." she told me. 

And there it is. The sensation inside my briefs. 

"I-I don't think that's a good idea." I said. 

She neared me and wrapped her arms around my waist. "Hmm? Talaga? Mas mabuti. It's early and I don't have to be at the clinic until 8."

I kissed her lips. "Oh, love."

My phone rang again. Natalie brushed her lips on my jaw before looking up at me. "You should answer that. The call kanina was from S. Cummings."

I stiffened. Then, I kissd her nose. "Hayaan mo na."

She giggled. "Alam mo, love, meron akong pasyente with the same last name. Her name's Elle Cummings."

"Talaga?" I asked. 

"Yes. We've talked nang maraming beses na nga e. She's really sweet and nice. Pero there was something about her na naging striking sa akin. I just realized na friendly pala siya." she told me. 

"Making friends already? I'm impressed!" I said na ikinatawa niya. 

She looked up at me. "I love you."
