EPILOGUE
NAT'S POV
I ran my hand down the bed.
And frowned.
Tumingin ako sa relo. It was only 5:07. Maaga pa para bumangon. Maaga pa para gumalaw and make breakfast. Maaga pa para pumunta kahit saan.
And it was a Sunday, for God's sake. Walang trabaho. I don't need to be in the clinic. Bryce doesn't need to be in his office.
Which brings me one question. Nasaan na si Bryce?
I stopped moving at nakinig sa surroundings ko. Tahimik ang kwarto. Tahimik ang banyo. Tahimik ang kitchen. Tahimik.
And it's eerily silent.
The silence left me no choice at tumayo ako. I walked down and across the hallway. Lumampas ako sa office ni Bryce. I knew he wasn't there.
I stopped by a door. Linagay ko ang isang kamay ko sa doorknob at isa sa pinto and I gently pushed it open.
And I was right about my intuition.
I saw Bryce sitting on the rocking chair with his head thrown back. Tulog siya. And on his chest...
I smiled.
On his chest were our perfect little angels.
Like their dad, tulog rin sila.
Looking at them, I couldn't be happier. They had been through so much and yet, ganito sila ka-perfect.
And I could never, ever forget that day when I brought them to the world.

"Natalie, tumigil ka na nga sa kakalakad at umupo ka. Heaven knows gaano ako matatakot kung madadapa ka."
I frowned. "Ano ka ba, Bryce? I'm pregnant, hindi pilay. Kaya ko pa naman mag--"
*WHOOSH!*
"Natalie, ano na--"
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Yes. My water broke.
Nakita kong namutla si Bryce. "N-Nat--"
"GET ME TO A DAMN HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW!"
What I couldn't believe was the intensity ng sakit ng tiyan ko.
Bryce was still holding my hand kahit itinatakbo na nila ako sa Delivery Room.
"Love, relax ka la--"
"SA TINGIN MO MAKAKARELAX AKO? IKAW KAYANG MAGLABAS NG DALAWANG BATA!"
His face whitened. I could've laughed pero masakit talaga ang tiyan ko.
"Sorry na, love."
"OO NA! ALIS KA NA!"
...
"PUSH!"
I frowned at the doctor. "SA TINGIN MO HINDI PA AKO NAGPUPUSH SA LAGAY KONG ITO? IKAW KAYA, MARIA!"
Maria laughed at me instead.
Parang lumobo ang tiyan ko and I pushed once more. Tapos, I felt fire.
"All right, Natalie. Mga dalawang push na lang. Nakikita ko na ang bumbunan ng anak mo."
