later on christmas eve, (y/n) was anxiously waiting to see her parents. every christmas, she would go to her home in london to spend christmas with her parents and return to hogwarts on new year's eve. but her letter of authorization had not arrived.
Dumbledore then goes to the house of (y/n) accompanied by the minister of magic and there is no one there. everything is a mess, there are broken objects but her parents are nowhere to be seen.
there was a dark mark on the wall and then Dumbledore understood the gravity that the war was taking.
(y/n) still unaware of his parents' disappearance, was enjoying his last day at Hogwarts before spending the Christmas holiday at home. Remus was next to (y/n) watching James and Lily
"they make a nice couple, I can feel attracted to Lily but I don't have the courage since she belongs to my friend, not to mention my problem" Lupin was talking about his condition, although (y/n) didn't know that he is a werewolf
"oh Remus, don't put yourself down so much, you can still try in case Lily doesn't work out with James"
"so, (y/n), are you going home this holiday?" Remus Lupin asked (y/n)
"I'm not sure, it's the first time my approval has taken this long." (y/n) replied, somewhat worried
"if you stay, could you accompany me to the Christmas party? I'll be alone since Sirius is already with a girl, Peter went home and James... you already know. it's good to have a friend to chat and dance" Remus decided to invite her.
"Well, you've changed my mind, I really want to stay now." (y/n) noticed that Lupin would be as lonely as she was before she met her group of friends.
then, the next class was starting, (y/n) said goodbye to her friends and went to her class. as soon as she was in line, all the students without exception looked at her in a strange way, some with a superior look, obviously those who are from slytherin house, and the ones from the other class, with sadness.

what have i done again?
"(y/n)" Professor McGonagall called me "(y/n)!
all the students looked at me and whispered among themselves.
Soon Professor Dumbledore himself arrived and then guided me into a reserved room.
"(y/n) Robert, I am sorry to tell you but you will not be able to go home this holiday. and I am afraid that you are in danger as well, the war danger signal grows stronger as the war advances. your parents have been kidnapped. we don't know where they are and the only thing we could find was this..." Principal Dumbledore showed me a strange mark that gave me a distressing feeling, the whole thing was being hard to digest
"but there is a group of aurors who are working exclusively on the search for your parents. i also feel that the parents of other students will also suffer from this. but from now on, you will be under my care. i will be your guardian"
despite everything that was happening, i felt relieved. i still have hope that my parents will return and that this war will end as soon as possible.
