my parents dropped me off at king's cross station and I couldn't find the 9 3/4 platform even though I asked a guard. I felt lost and isolated and somewhat deceived, perhaps this story about Hogwarts is just a lie.
while I was lost in thoughts I feel my shoulder being touched.
I turn around and come across a red-haired girl accompanied by a boy with long black hair.
"do you know where the 9 3/4 platform is?"
the girl asked politely
"well, I'm looking for it"
I answered timidly
"Ah, as I thought you were looking for her, I saw that you were a little lost. come with me"
she answered and guided me.
The boy at her side remained silent.
I got scared when we crossed a wall in the middle of the station and ended up on a platform full of people my age accompanied by their parents and saying goodbye on the train.
"erm ... can I walk with you? I mean, everything is so new to me and I feel lost"
I touch the red-haired girl's shoulder and she nodded with a smile on her face
"I understand, I also feel lost here."
she responds
as we got on the train, me, the red-haired girl, and the long-haired boy, got in and sat on the seat of a carriage.
the red-haired girl extends her hand and says
"my name is Lily Evans."
she keeps a nice smile on her face
"my name is (Y/N) Robert"
I reach for her hand and we greet each other
"He is Severus Snape"
Lily introduced the long-haired boy and he nodded at me.
"So, from which house were your parents from?" Severus asks
"home, what do you mean?"
I answer confused
"are the houses in Hogwarts. Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw" Severus explains
"ah, my parents didn't attend Hogwarts. they are not wizards" I answer
"my parents are not wizards either"
Lily speaks
"do you already have your wand?"
Lily asks me
"wand? no, I don't have it!"
I answer a little desperate, I didn't understand anything about the wizarding world
"you at least have the study materials don't you?"
Lilian asked me a little desperate
"of course not! ah I don't understand anything about the wizarding world"
"If we stay in the same house, I can share my stuff with you"
Lily said while trying to relieve me
"I can get you a wand until tomorrow, but I'll tell you right away that it won't be perfect for your spells since the wand must choose you"
said Severus comforting me, he seems to be cool even though he is very quiet.
"When we don't have class, we go to the diagonal alley to buy your stuff and your wand"
Severus continued
after that, we don't talk anymore
there were also two other boys in the same car, one of them was talking about being drawn to go to Gryffindor
the trip was a long one, maybe I took a nap because I don't remember much
upon arriving, I come across a large castle
"is this Hogwarts?"
I ask while trying to guess the height of the castle
"Yes is yes"
said Severus without looking much at the place
"incredible"
says Lily also admired
when we entered the place, there was already a bunch of students like us and several other students in uniform sitting at each table.
meanwhile, director Alvo Dumbledore introduced himself and introduced our teachers and finally presented us with the sorting hat. he probably started singing a song invented by himself. Minerva McGonagall, the transfiguration teacher takes a list and begins to call the students one by one.
"Lily Evans"
said the teacher loud and clear.
Lily approaches and sits on the chair, the hat is placed on his head and suddenly he screams
"Gryffindor!"
and the students at a table in which they are in red and yellow uniforms applaud and the girl goes towards them and sits next to them and the drawing ceremony continues.
"Severus Snape"
the teacher continued and he sat down on the chair quickly and the hat is positioned on his head. the hat looks thoughtful and then speaks
"Slytherin!"
afterward, I hear low applause from students coming from the table across the hall. I see Snape walking towards the table, I realized that he wanted to be in the same house as Lily
after some students, the teacher finally calls my name
"(Y/N) Robert"
when I hear her voice, I approach the teacher and I sit in the chair, when I put the hat on my head, I feel anxiety taking care of my body
"hmmm"
said the sorting hat
"interesting ... and curious"
the hat continued, it took longer than usual until finally, it came to a conclusion
"Slytherin!"
and the whole school looked at me shocked, some looked at me worried as if there was something on my face.
all eyes were fixed on me, including of my house, which did not seem sympathetic at all.
I get out of the chair and sit next to Severus.
"You shouldn't be here, in this hall.
said an older boy with long blond hair
I didn't understand why he said that and I couldn't do anything but keep silent.
a girl with curly hair kept looking at me, to be honest, I was afraid of the way she was looking at me without even blinking.
it seemed that at any moment she could kill me.
"this is not your place"
said the girl who kept looking at me.
