Prompt Title: Bang Bang; Genre - Humor and Action

Characters Used: vector image of a girl holding a gun (?) Lol.

Explanation: (Sorry, hindi po ako matagalog masyado) Anyway, the design I had in mind -- I wanted something new and fresh, something simple yet catchy. So eto na, napaisip ako, how then do I mix action and humour together? Commonly, people think of dark, daring and sexy colours when it comes to action. Ayokong stock or texture-heavy yung composition ko since it's going to be really tricky balancing both and even then, so few would get the best results. Adobe Illustrator lang pala ang ginamit ko dito kasi it's been almost three years since I last did anything on photoshop, thus the vectors. Nagsimula ako by drawing in the girl with the gun (as a face for the action) and the city (para urban action ang dating, dibaaa. Haha). Then from there, I sprinkled on the bullet marks to bring justice both sa title and the action genre. Tapos, my next dilemma then would be incorporating humour in it. And this is where my colour palette comes in. I made it especially to strike a balance between something "light" and "dark". Kaya if you look at the cover, everything screams action right? But not all of it. It all screams humour at you (plus, those bird vectors help in clearing out the air for humour.) For the text naman, diba two genres 'to? And luckily, two words. The one with the lighter foreground -- that's your humour essence and the other one your action. But I wanted to balance them both so complimentary colour schemes na lang yan. Kinakabahan nga ako na baka fail to (mukha namang fail so, //rage quits). 'Yoko na, haha!

And lastly, charot lang yung J.K. Rowling at bestseller (libre mangarap), haha. I was aiming for a minimalist, yet professional look and what better way to do that? ;) Tuloy na-inspire akong gumawa ng story based on your prompts. Very cleverly thought! (:

Message to co-contestants: Hi. Wala akong kakilala na kahit sino as of now kasi bago lang ako pero ang galing nyo! Nung last na nandito ako, a lot of Fil designers I knew then stuck to very simple covers or their comfort zones (no bash intended) pero lumevel up na ngayon. Gandits everdeen.

Ma-eliminate man ako so early in the comp, at least I was able to see your entries and be a part of it. Ipagpatuloy ang daan tungong kakaibabe-ness. <3 Haha.
