Chapter 36(B)

The Anderson estate was thrown into a state of confusion, worry yet calmness at what happened at the wedding. The ceremony was quickly put to an end much to the surprise of the invited guests.

They were only trying to keep everything in order and out of the eyes and the ears of the media.

This was not what they planned, they should be on their honeymoon by now but things don't always go the way she planned it.

"How is she?" Gabriel asked his wife as she stepped down the stairs going to the rooms.

"She will be alright, the doctor said it happened due to the state of shock. " she said, she was still in her wedding dress, she couldn't remove it due to the fact that her only daughter passed out during their wedding.

"She will be alright" Gabriel assured her, placing a kiss on her forehead. She huffs "you don't have to worry, you know?"

"How I wish I can say that, i want to know why the presence of that young man scared her so badly" she said, with a frown forming on her beautiful face.

"That is what we are about to find out" he said, holding her hand tightly, they both step out of the corridor into the large foyer before heading to the living room were everyone is.

Rosalia, Emilia who looks shaken up occupied a couch, the twins stood at different angles of the room lost in their own world. Alfredo just finished a call he had with his uncle who was asking of Leah.

The whole family was worried, he assured them she is alright, they will be staying at their penthouse and they will be the first set of people they see in the estate first thing tomorrow morning.

The only odd thing out of the whole situation was Hunter who refused to leave the estate not until he sets his eyes on Leah but Gabriel was not having it.

"I told you to go home" Gabriel said watching him with narrowed eyes, he gets it that he is Leah's lover and he cares about her a lot but what he won't take was his impudent behavior, he caused quite a scene at the party.

"I know you are mad at me uncle, but I won't leave until I see her" he said looking up from the window he was staring through, he looks troubled with messy hair and bruised knuckles.

Gabriel sigh crossing his arms against his broad chest, his eyes shifts to the quiet red head who sat perched on the arm of a chair. She looks uncomfortable and stuck out like a sore thumb in the room as she avoided eye contact with everyone in the room.

Surprisingly, she came for the wedding and she looked disturbed.

He wondered what could have created that kind of reaction from Claire. When did she become friends with Leah?

"Can someone tell me what's going on?"

No one made a sound, each refusing to speak or say a word about the situation.

"I thought I asked a question" Gabriel grunts looks annoyed, Eleanora was quick to place her hand on his tensed shoulder trying to keep him calm which happens to work.

She turns to look at everyone in the room, she saw how shaken Emilia was by the whole incident, there is more to the matter, that she knows of.

"Uncle... " Hunter called Gabriel directing everyone's attention to him again "please.. Let me see Leah, just to assure myself that she is alright" the tone of his voice full of plea.

"What makes you think she is not alright? She is my daughter, i can assure you her safety" Gabriel said growing annoyed again.

Was he questioning his ability to take care of his own family.
