"You shouldn't do this. It is too dangerous. I should be the one protecting and saving you and the children, not the other way round" he complained bitterly looking restless, running his hand through his mane of dark hair.

"We have no other option Gabriel. He wants me to bring those documents to him alone. I can't tag you along" Eleanora said, she raised her wrist watching the detective input a tracking chip in her bracelet as well as her earrings.

Even in the midst of the chaos, they both seem to be at peace, even though their mind is not at peace. It seems everything was falling apart and they are just trying to make the best out of the situation.

The watch the officers running around, they had been doing that ever since that bastard sent the video. It was heartbreaking to watch.

Eleanora almost passed out. Over the past weeks, she has aged a bit due to the stress she was passing through. Gabriel was trying to be strong for the both of them but she can't just help but get wary.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Gabriel asked again, running his hand through her hair in a bid to calm down.

"I just got her back and am definitely not ready to lose her" she said looking adamant. Her son and husband had tried changing her mind but she remains undaunted.

She has a personal score to settle with Lucio. He can mess with her alright, but no one, absolutely no one messes with her children.

She was like a lioness protecting her cub and she will rip you apart if a strand of hair goes missing on her children's head.

"Just promise me " she said taking a hold of his hand "you will be with me at every step of the way"

He kissed her hand which was on his before staring deep into her eyes.

"I promise. And I swear on my life. I would be that very person that pulls a bullet through his head"  he swore.

Eleanora smiles, before placing her head on his shoulder.

The head of the police department who was in charge of their case briefed them on what to do and what not to say assuring Eleanora his men will be with her at every point of the way.

Alfredo walked in, confirming to them that their mole had already set everything in place.

Everything just had to play out according to the role. In which they hope it would.

"Mum?... " I whispered out in surprise.

I saw Lucio grin, as she walks closer with a file in her hand. I could have swore I saw a look of longing in his eyes at the sight of my mother which made me shudder.

She stops few feet away from us. She looks epic in her red floral chiffon dress. She always look epic. I saw her face fall when she spotted my pathetic form.

Yeah I look hideous and pathetic. I flinched when Antonio grabbed a hold of my arm. I tried fighting out of the painful grip but to no avail.

She glared at Antonio before shifting the same glare to the father.

Lifting the file high up in the air.

"I brought the God damn files. Release my daughter!" she flared looking livid.

I almost threw up at the sound that came out from Lucio's throat. Was that supposed to be a laugh? He sounds like a cackling wizard.

"Nora... Is that a way to say hello to your long lost friend?" he teased but it seems she was not having it and so was I.
