like she was a robot
like she was numb
Her eyes stare into the abyss
no emotion, almost faceless
like she didn't even care
Why?
She knew she cared
but others believed she was heartless
Not even her favourite song could make her cry anymore
she was detached from emotions
but her artistry more lively than ever
Why?
Maybe it was the constant let downs
maybe it was her past experiences
or maybe it was just the way she was
but she wasn't always like this, she was
responsive, compassionate
she just existed
What change?
She longs to feel what can only be reality, but for now she lays, deadened by her weakened heart.
