Scarlett's POV
As I finish the song and I wipe any remaining tears, I hear a light knock on the door. My head snaps up and find the familiar blonde haired girl that I love."Hey, are you okay?" Pearl asks and she quietly closes the door and sits beside me.
"Yeah, I hate crying you know? It makes me feel so weak." I sigh and she shakes her head.
"You're not weak Letty! It's okay to feel, okay? You're not going to be happy all the time and it's fine. You don't need to pretend with me, I'm here for you." She says with a soft smile which I return.
"God, what would I do without you Pearl?"
"I have no idea because I'm fabulous." She exclaims while flipping her hair, lightening the mood a little. "So, can you play me something?"
"Sure, I'll play you something that I wrote a while back." I smile before strumming the acoustic guitar.

Pearl claps for me, a light smile gracing her face which sends my stomach into butterflies, "You want to know one of my favourite things which separates you and Rosa?" She asks and I smile and gesture for her to continue, "You don't take the easy way out."
"What do you mean?" I furrow my eyebrows in confusion making her stifle a laugh.
"When things get rough, you don't just shut off your humanity. You face things head on, you paint a smile on your face and you put all your feelings into your music; I love that about you."
I feel my cheeks heat up as I blush at her words. Hiding my face, I let my hair fall in front of me slightly as a smile tugs at my lips.
"Have you and the band been working on anything new that you can show me?" I ask softly and she chuckles before replying,
"Well I actually wrote a song a while back which I could play for you?" She says more as a question and I immediately send her a reassuring smile and nod.
Pearl's POV
As soon as I said it, I regretted it.Here I am, in front of my best friend, about to sing a song that I wrote about her and her ex girlfriend. To say I'm scared would be an understatement.
Shaking away the nerves, I gently take her acoustic guitar and begin to play - setting a mental reminder to change all the times I said 'Lia' to another name.

"Wow, that was amazing! Who's it about?" The brunette vampire asks me and I just simply shrug with a smile.
"You may never know." I reply teasingly making her giggle lightly while shaking her head.
"Have you got a new song for tonight's karaoke?" She asks while tucking a curly strand of hair behind her ear.
"Yeah the band and I have been working on some new stuff so that should be good. Of course, your performance will be better." I say and she brushes me off so I continue, "no seriously, I can't wait to see what you do because I'm so used to it being acoustic."
