Territory lost! Despite the Republic force's best efforts a number of campaigns led by Separatist leader General Grievous have given the Separatists much control over territory in many parts of the galaxy. On Coruscant, at the behest of Princess Twilight and others, the Galactic Senate convenes an emergency session to debate over where to send Troops.
In the Senate Building, many Senators were shouting and arguing, with Chancellor Palpatine insisting, "Members of the Senate, please calm down."
His Vice-Chancellor, Mas Amedda then spoke up, "Let Senator Aang finish."
The male Ronnan Senator began from his floating platform, "Members of the Senate with how bad things are getting, I insist we reassign several of our forces to fortify the Core Worlds. We can not risk losing any more of our industrial and leadership planets."
Just then, Senator Riyo Chuchi of Pantora came in on her floating pad, "But what about the Republic worlds outside the Core currently indeed of help too. We can't just abandon them."
Another platform carrying the Pony Princess Twilight Sparkle and her seven friends approached, with the Princess saying, "I agree with Senator Chuchi. My very homeworld of Equestria has been recently conquered by the Separatists and we need support for it now."
A Duro's male Senator shouted from his position, "So you want to move precious resources to help your little backwater Outer Rim world? It was that kind of mismanagement of forces that led to my homeworld of Duro here in the Core being conquered by the Separatists!"
Declan Akaba turned to the Duros and calmly said, "Instead you just want us to hide here, only help those closest to Coruscant, and let others suffer instead. Forgive me, but I'm no coward and I refuse to just sit here debating this and letting those people suffer. I move for an immediate vote on whether to send extra support to Outer Rim worlds currently in need, starting with Equestria.
The male Gran, Senator Ask Aak fired right back, "Of course, you'd support Princess Sparkle's plea, Senator Akaba. Your planets are oh so chummy what with the Portal on Equestria that links it to your precious Earth. You scratch their back and they scratch yours, huh?!"
Declan gave a fake chuckle, "That's rich coming from you, Senator Aak. Given how much you like kissing up to the Chancellor and everyone else in positions of power to see if it helps you."
The Gran began to growl, "Why you!"
Soon the Senate once again erupted in arguments all over the place; the Wookies and Ithorian Senators were going at it in one area, as was the Trade Federation Nemodians and Mon Calamari, while the Banking Clan Muuns were getting heated against the Rodians.
This continued until Padme Amedial floated forth and shouted, "Members of the Senate, we have to stop this! If we keep up this argument we will never be able to help anyone and Dooku will be able to beat us without even having to lift a finger!"
Bail Organa then added, "I suggest we table any discussions on Troop movements and Planetary invasions until tomorrow."
As everyone calmed down, Mas Amedda spoke, "Agreed. We will let calmer heads prevail."
Moments later the Senators and other officials were walking around the halls of the Senate Building. Surrounded by her friends, as well as Padme, Mon Mothma, and Bail, Twilight could only sigh with frustration, "Why do so many politicians have to act like children!?"
Padme gave her own sigh, "Unfortunately, I learned a long time ago that not every political leader is interested in the common good. Some are just in it for themselves."
Spike then added with a bit of cheer, "But not everyone is like that."
Starlight joined him and looked at the gathered Senators, "Yup. We do have people supporting us for this."
