Backup Arrives

At the edge of the Hyperspace lane to Earth, the space battle raged. Two Republic Cruisers unloaded a barrage of blasts on a Separatist Cruiser, destroying it. However, several squads of Vulture Droids and Hyena Bombers swooped in from above and completely annihilated one of the Cruisers and a Republic Light Cruiser nearby with lasers and bombs.

The bridge of Obi-Wan's ship was in just as much of a dire state. Clone Naval officers laid dead, with B1 Battle Droids all over the place. Grievous and his two Magna Guards then entered through the sliding doors, with a B1 stating, "General, we have secured the ship."

Grievous told them, "Excellent." He then pointed all around, "Waste no time and get me every last piece of information from the databanks."

The Droids went to do it, with one B1 typing into the command table, when a hologram message of Obi-Wan appeared on it and said solemnly, "General Grievous, you have defeated me, and taken control of my ship. Congratulations." However, Obi-Wan's tone changed to his more trolling voice, "However, if you're watching this message that means I'm boarding an escape pod, and shall soon be safely away from the ship, which is about to self-destruct." Grievous eyes widened, as he rushed out the door, with Obi-Wan's message repeating.

In another part of the ship, Obi-Wan, Cody, all the remaining Clones, and Ash and the gang, were rushing into the escape pods. Once in, they all jettisoned.

Back in the hangar bay, Team Rocket recovered, just in time to see Grievous running past. Naturally confused, they chased after him, with Jessie asking, "Sir, what's wrong."

The group approached the Separatist Shuttle, which was being guarded by two B1s, one of which saluted, "Sir."

Grievous proceeded to knock the two Droids out of the way and board the Shuttle with Team Rocket, which then quickly took off. Two more B1s rushed up to see the Shuttle leaving, with one of them shouting, "What? What are you doing?" The two then started to look around in realization, "Uh-oh. Uh-oh." The entire ship exploded after this.

As Grievous and Team Rocket made it back to one of the Separatist Dreadnaughts, the escape pods looked at the destroyed Republic Cruiser, with Obi-Wan sadly stating, "I'm afraid if the Republic doesn't send help soon, the Earth will be lost as well."

Just then, Anakin's voice was heard over the coms, jokingly saying "Well then, it's a good thing I'm here to save you again, old man." Six Republic Cruisers then came out of Hyperspace.

Obi-Wan smiled, "Anakin."

Anakin said, "Sorry we're late, master, but we're here to do what we do best."

Ahsoka's voice came over the coms, with a small laugh, "He means saving the day."

Obi-Wan nodded, "Of course he does."

After this, the Separatists forces turned away from what remained of Obi-Wan's destroyed fleet and turned to the new fleet, before opening fire. However, a giant magical field enveloped the fleet and blocked the shots.

Onboard the led Cruiser, Princess Twilight, Starlight, and Rarity, were all use their magic to form the shield. However, they began to sweat, with Twilight grunting, "We can-can't hold this for t-t-too long."

The hangar bays opened, with several Arc Fighters and Y-Wings deploying, being led by Anakin, Ahsoka, and Plo Koon in their Jedi Star Fighters. Anakin said into his com, "Just give us as much time as you can. Also, someone pick up Obi-Wan and the others."

On the ship, Rex boarded a Republic Shuttle, along with Wolf and some other Clones, with the Clone captain saying into his com, "We're on it, general."
