After a traumatizing day with high schoolers  she was finally able to leave after getting everyone's homework and making sure that the classroom was clean. 

She got into a cab. She was glad she didn't have to take the train back because she had a lot of time before she was supposed to meet Derek.

Meredith got into her apartment and wasn't surprised when Cristina wasn't there. She was most likely with her boyfriend and to be honest she really wanted to be alone and not have to deal with her best friend talking about her boyfriend.

 But something in her hoped that she would become that girl, but she didn't want to date anyone but Derek.

Meredith decided to take a bath. She got out her bath bombs and bath salt and put a ton of bubble in. She put her hair up in a messy bun and enjoyed the hot water. After her bath she shaved.

Their apartment wasn't the nicest but it was definitely nice. It also had a nice homey feel to it. Meredith redid her bathroom about a month ago. She got a new shower and tub and new cabinets and drawers. 

Her favorite part was the mirror that was huge, as well as how deep the tub was. She wanted to at least take 2 baths a week and with her busy schedule she really tried to keep it that way. 

Her bedroom was the bigger one between her and Cristinas and was cleaner and nicer. She decorated it herself. It had a huge full body mirror and a king sized bed with a ton of blankets on because she was always cold. 

Her room colors were mostly gold, white, black, and a dusty rose pink. She had a huge walk-in closet that fit all of her shoes and outfits. When you looked at Meredith Grey you wouldn't think she had as many shoes and clothes as she does. 

Meredith decided on wearing a very sexy but casual red dress because Derek said he was taking her for a real date and she didn't know what that meant. The red dress had a very high cut stopping at her thigh and it was a v-neck. She didn't change yet though because she's didn't want to get it dirty.

After she decided on outfit she went into her bathroom and started on her makeup. She went for a neutral look and started putting on her makeup. 

Finding makeup that matched her skin color well was always hard for her because she has porcelain skin. After she started curling her hair with a curler she just got. When she finished she went to go get a snack since it was 6:30  and they were meeting at 8. 

She went into her fridge and pulled at a P3 protein pack and went to sit down on her couch. She turned on Gossip Girl and was able to watch one episode before she went to her closet and got her dress out. 

It was 7:30 by the time she was ready so she went and got and uber before leaving her house she got a text from Derek. 

Derek 

Im on my way to the library 

Meredith 

Same I just called an Uber 

Derek 

Ok sounds good, I cant wait to see you again 

Meredith 

Same Im very excited 

Derek 

ok see you soon 

Meredith got the notification on her phone that her uber arrived and she went down and got in. It looked like it was going to rain so she checked the forecast hoping it wouldn't but with Meredith Grey's luck it showed 100 percent chance of rain. 

And that was not what she was looking forward too. She just hoped Derek chose to get reservations inside so that they both didn't get wet. 

After a couple minutes she was at the library and when she got out she saw Derek in a corner looking at books. She decided to scare him. 

She quickly walked over and said 

"What book are you looking at" 

Derek jumped and shut the book 

"Nothing in particular I was just waiting for you" 

Derek was wearing a nice collard grey shirt and black dress pants. You could see the outlines of his muscles in his shirt and that immediately turned her on  and made the panties wet. 

"Ok ready to go" he asked 

"Sure but ca you tell me where we are going first" Meredith replied 

"No can do" 

"Pleaseeee" she begged 

" I can't  thats the point of a suprise" Derek laughed 

"Ok fine lets go" 

"Ok we can get into the black limo outside" 

They were walking out of the library and Derek put his arm around her waist and meredith felt a tingling feeling in her core. She wanted to be his and she wanted to put him against the wall right there and fuck him. 

As Derek opened the car door for her he got a nice look at her ass. 'Fuck' he thought and he thought about all the dirty things she could do to her. 

He got in after her and she sat close to him and put hand in his. 

After a little while they got to their spot

"Why are we in the park" Meredith asked 

"This is where we are going for our date" He replied 

he took her hand as they walked out of the car and into the park by a tree with a blanket, champagne and food. They sat down together and Derek popped open the champagne 

"Heres some champagne love"  he said 

"Wait say that again" she insisted 

"Some champagne love?" He asked confused

"Wait why does it sound british" Meredith asked 

"Well about 2 years ago I moved to the uk to get some law firm training so that might be why" Derek told her 

"Well I find it very attractive" Meredith replied 

Derek had picked up some chicken, broccoli dish which made since because he was a health freak. 

The rest of the night the talked, laughed, and flirted until it was 11. 

"Well I think its time to go" Meredith said 

"yeah I guess your right, do you want to go back to my apartment for some coffee?" 

"I would love too"
