The Cursed Identity- A Haunting Dream

Is it a nightmare?

                                                                      Chapter 14 

Arjun sleep was broken at about midnight. He went to the kitchen and helped himself with a bottle of water. He then came back to his room and tried to sleep but was unsuccessful. He came out in the balcony and looked around. The whole street was deserted and Arjun was gazing at it when suddenly, his eyes saw something strange. 

"What is that?" said Arjun. 

Arjun noticed some strange things in his school which was visible from his balcony. There was some strange light illuminating that place.  

"As far as I know no one is allowed to enter the school after 8pm. Then who are they. I should better check out that place." 

Arjun went downstairs to his father's room. He firstly made sure that his parents were sleeping. He then wore his shoes and took a torch. He tried to make as less noise in opening the lock of the gate and taking his bicycle, went out. 

It took him few minutes to reach there. He quickly parked his cycle, very silently. He went ahead to have a close look at the events. 

He saw two ethereal creatures standing there. Though there was pitch black darkness but they were still visible to Arjun. 

One of them had the creepiest look one may ever imagine. Arjun saw no eye balls in its eye socket. Its face was half burned and bones were beaming out of its face. 

The second one didn't had, a neck and its head was hanging in the misty air that surrounded them. Though its face had no defects but his head was looking as if was slashed in two halves. 

One of them had a book in his hand and the other was having some spherical object, covered by a cloth. The light was flashing out from that object. 

They were uttering some words but the language, was not earthly. But from their actions, Arjun had understood that they were in hurry to finish their work.  

One of them was collecting something from the ground. 

Arjun at that time was experiencing double feelings of fear and courage and he decided to stick to his place rather than moving ahead towards them. 

For about fifteen minutes they kept on moving all around that place, picking things from the ground. As he was looking at them he heard a human voice.  

"Someone is coming. Should I inform him of the danger or let him meet his fate." thought Arjun 

Arjun finally decided to let him pass and help him in case of any accident. 

The man moved ahead unaware of any possible danger he may have to face ahead. Arjun saw him passing that spot. The person looked inside for a second and then moved ahead. Arjun was surprised by his behaviour. 

"Didn't he saw anyone in there?" 

Arjun moved ahead to inquire and to his surprise both were still standing there. Now his wonder had no bounds. He was amazed to realize that the man didn't saw them. He moved ahead to have a closer look at them but as he moved and turned back they vanished. The atmosphere also changed and everything became normal. 

Arjun stood there for a couple of minutes and then went inside to have a look at that place. He turned on his torch and went there scanning the ground. He went all around that place but found no clue regarding their visit. Soon Arjun grew confused and came out of the place. He went and rode his bicycle back to his house. 

His mother was still sleeping and father was in the bathroom. He quickly went to his room and lied on his bed thinking whether it was a sign of some danger or was a nightmare. 

"It can't be a nightmare." thought Arjun.
