The Cursed Identity- A Haunting Dream

The Investigation

                                                                          Chapter 7 

The siren of the police vehicles were audible enough to declare that they had arrived. They came inside in couple of minutes and asked the principle, about the incident. The principle acted as advised and told them everything he knew.  

"Take us to the crime scene." asked the chief inspector.  

"Yes come with me." 

The inspector followed him and they were soon at the crime scene. He observed all the buildings which were situated nearby, and then went in one of them in search of some evidence. But his effort went in vain as no such evidence was found. 

"Don't you have any CCTV footage regarding this incident." asked the inspector.  

"No sir actually we don't have CCTV cameras in our school." said the principle halting a little.  

"I don't believe this. Your school is so big, but you don't care to put any CCTV cameras." 

"No sir." 

"Better use them. It would be helpful to you." 

"Absolutely, sir." said the principle in an apologetic tone 

"So who saw this incident first? Is there any eye witness?" 

"Eye witnesses are none, but one of our students saw the victim first." 

Arjun came forward and the inspector welcomed him with smiling face. He tried to make Arjun feel at ease so that he may answer his questions without any stress.  

"So what's your name boy?" 

"Arjun." 

"So Arjun tell me in detail what all did you saw when you arrived here."  

Arjun started narrating the whole incident. Inspector tried to imagine the whole incident in his mind and had very soon, built an image.  

"So Arjun can you tell me that at exactly what time, you went for bathroom and when did you heard the scream." 

"To be exact I would say that I went to wash room at around 9:50 and I heard the scream 10 minutes later that is at around 10:00." 

"Where is the guard that sit at the door?" 

The guard came at once. 

"Did you allowed anyone to enter at around 9:00 to 10:00 pm? Think carefully." 

"No sir no one came after the school gates were closed," 

"When did you closed the school gate?" 

"Exactly half an hour after the bell rang for the first period. I always close the door at that time." 

"Did you notice any stranger, after you closed the gate?"  

"No sir." 

"Then there are two possibilities: either the murderer entered the school from somewhere else or he entered in the morning when the school gate opens." 

"Do you trust your support staff?" inspector asked the principal. 

"Of course sir, we all have full faith in our support staff and you can take my words on this." 

"Then in that case it totally seems to be matter of some outside interference."  

"Sir maybe this is the work of an enemy, of that child's parents,"
