The Cursed Identity- A Haunting Dream

Restricted Place

The school reopened the next week on the specified date and as expected half the strength was present. The teachers as their nature go wanted to start the class but the students showed them that the quorum was not there. They all enjoyed their morning and then the bell rang to announce the beginning of recess.  

Arjun and his friends were roaming in the school premises talking nuisance. As they moved ahead Arjun said," Hey, let us search the restricted section of our school." As expected, everyone agreed to this and went there. 

They didn't realise that in this process they had entered that portion of school which was seldom occupied by humans. 

"Hey Arjun don't you think this place has something that makes it very haunting," said Sameer. 

"You are right Sameer. There is something in here that makes it quite scary." 

"Hey friends, have a look at this board." said Sameer. 

Arjun looked behind and saw an old board of iron which had rusted, making the visibility of its content very dull. The board mentioned in big words: 

RESTRICTED SECTION. DO NOT ENTER 

Something more was written there but was not visible enough. The area surrounding that board was very badly looked after. Its condition made it difficult for anyone of them to believe that it was a part of their school. They looked behind and saw that they were surprised to find that there was no one to be seen.  

"What place is this?" said Arjun quite confused." How come we didn't know that such place exist in our own school." 

"We are all amazed seeing this place,"  

"Shall we go further in it? What do you say friends", said Arjun 

"Are you mad? Didn't you read the board? It clearly mentions that this section is restricted and that no one should enter here"  

"Yes but we shall can still...." suddenly there was a change in Arjun's behaviour and he yelled.  

The expressions on his face were terrible. His eyes had rolled back and his voice suddenly became more mature and terrible. 

"Tell me where you have kept that thing. I will surely kill you but you have a chance to prove that you are really one of us. Tell me......tell me................" 

"Arjun!" shouted his friends and ran towards him. "Arjun are you all right. What were you speaking? Wake up Arjun, wake up."  

Arjun regained conscious after couple of minutes and was surprised to find him lying on the ground. 

"Why am I lying on the ground?", asked Arjun. 

"You don't remember anything," asked Sameer. 

"Did anything happened here" 

Terrified by the fact, Sameer looked at Arjun and then looked at his friends face. Their faces were full of terror and confusion that was surrounding that place.  

"Arjun are you sure you really don't remember anything,"  

"No. Would you all please tell me what all happened just now that had made your face so pale," said Arjun, quite confused by his friends behaviour. 

"You were yelling and were searching for a thing. You were asking someone the place where he had kept it. You were also saying that you will kill that person." 

Now was Arjun's turn to be terrified by realising that he remembered nothing of all these words he had just spoken. Arjun looked at his friends to double check his confusion. 

"I...I really don't remember that I uttered those words. But how can that happen. I......I just spoke those terrible words and ......... and, Oh it's just so confusing." 

"Arjun first let get out of this place. This place is so terrifying and would not allow us to think how to solve that problem of yours. I have a strong belief that this place has some terrifying past. Come lets return back to our class." said Sameer. 

Everyone agreed and they ran towards the main premises of their school. Seeing no one they knew the recess was over. They returned back to their class.  

Rest of the periods were not of any importance for Arjun and his friends because they were still struggling to find one possible answer for the things that happened in the recess. 

The bell rang at 1:00 pm and that marked the closing of school for that day. 

"Arjun wait," came Sameer running "How are you feeling now? My father had called me home early otherwise I would have accompanied you to your home."  

"That's okay Sameer. I am feeling quite well. Don't feel sorry. I can safely ride back home."  

"You have relived me Arjun. I was very worried. But then don't hesitate calling me if you have any problem. Do you get it?"  

"Yes I totally get. I would love disturbing you. Now go else you will get a sound scolding from your father."  

"Okay bye." 

"Bye. I will ring you up to ask the assignment topic" 

"Okay."
