The misadventures of Gundham and Souda! (Basically Soudam One shots)

3rd person narrator

The pink haired boy was running away, as usual he tried to get Sonias love, but again the princess rejected him, but this time was different, it might have been the words used by Sonia that affected so much to Kazuichi that his only response was to run away crying.

He wasn't even looking where he was going, the tears in his eyes were too much, he stopped for a second to see and wipe the tears of his face but seeing people surrounding him and questioning why he was there, that made him panic... he needed to escape, he needed to get out.

He ran into the fire escape, he didn't want to go outside of the building because more people might be there so he went upwards to the roof, when he arrived he stopped suddenly in front of the fence, seeing the edge... that brought him bad memories, when he was bullied and his bullies did everything to torment him, he crouched down and cried, he just wanted a perfect life, he wanted to be happy, he wanted to be loved.

He suddenly heard the door opening, instantly turning around finding the last person he wanted to be seen by: Gundham Tanaka.

"What are you doing here" Kazuichi asked harshly, he wanted to maintain his rude persona, he didn't want to get bullied but one of the tallest guys in the academy
"I could ask you the same question mortal" Gundham said, he walked towards the fence, grabbing Soudas attention and making him notice that he was holding something
"What ya' got there?" The pink haired boy asked standing up to see, encountering a little bird
"This beast has been under my protection since I've encountered it" said Gundham petting the little bird "I've been training it until he was strong enough to confront the evil fiends of the world"
"... what happened to it?" Souda asked calmly, something of the dark haired boy was oddly serene
"It was abandoned by its family, they were the weak one of the group, they weren't able to fly at the time, but right know they're ready" Gundham raised his hands, the bird opened its wings and started flying, fluttering around Gundham as a 'thank you' kazuichi assumed, and then the bird flew until the two boys couldn't see it

"is it going to be okay?" Asked the smaller boy
"Of course, I taught them everything they should know, are you doubting my skills?"
"Oh not at all, is just... sometimes someone might feel insecure about everything and feels unprotected and... alone" Souda said, Gundham instantly understood that he wasn't referring to the bird with that sentence
"Well in that case, someone might stick to the creature in question, for as long as one would prefer..." Gundham didn't want to ask Kazuichi about his problems directly, because he might get defensive and leave "but most of the time one gets attached to the creature and viceversa and end up forming a bond between them"
"Would you do that..."Kazuichi started to tear up "even if that creature might've hurt you in the past?"
"If I sense that the creature didn't do it on purpose, and if it needs help I would stay with them" Gundham said looking at Kazuichi who was a crying mess.
  After a little awkward silence Kazuichi looked at Gundham and suddenly hugged him, the taller one was surprised and froze, not only he wasn't used to this forms of affection but his skin was poisonous, and it surprised him that Kazuichi wasn't bursting into flames. After a while of more awkwardness the pink haired boy noticed what he was doing.
"... oh sorry" he stopped hugging the tall one leaving him frozen in place blushing " I should've asked you if you wanted to be hugged, I'm so so-" he was suddenly hugged by Gundham now making them both blush extremely.
"You don't have to apologize..." said Gundham "I will protect you" that made Souda burst into tears once again and hug Gundham again.
"I'm so sorry, I've been so mean to you!"
"What happened to make you feel so vulnerable?"
"I -sob- I wanted to ask Miss Sonia out on a date or something, but she ignored me but when I tried asking again she -sob- said that I was annoying her and I should stop, it wasn't that bad but she looked so angry I..."
"You don't need to finish if you don't want to" Gundham said calmly "although, I understand what the dark princess said, I'm very sure that she didn't meant to cause you such sadness"
"I guess you are right" kazuichi started feeling a bit better "I mean I guess I'm a crybaby"
"Don't say things like that about yourself"
"But that's the thing, when I was young everyone called me like that, they bullied me and everyone thought I was weird, I think that when Miss Sonia asked me to stop that triggered a past memory, making me feel vulnerable again"
"I think that since so many people called you names, you started to believe them, you need to understand that you are so much more than that"
  Kazuichi silently nodded and started to think out loud.
"Probably the reason i got obsessed with Miss Sonia was because of those same reasons, everyone told me that an ideal future was having a gorgeous wife and be successful, I mean Sonia is very beautiful but I didn't get to know her, I've blinded myself until the point that I think I will never be capable to be in a relationship right now, maybe they were right when they said that people like me are incapable of being in a relationship"
  Kazuichi had another breakdown meanwhile he explained that, but instantly after he finished Gundham lifted up his chin so they could see each other.
"Everyone is deserving of love you just have to find your soulmate"
"... who would want to be with me?"
Kazuichi asked and saw how blushed Gundham became, after a moment to think the taller boy started to look away out of embarrassment, but the pink haired one didn't want that, he grabbed Gundham's scarf slamming their faces together in an attempt to kiss but ending with a painful hit
"Aww, that seemed more easy in TV" said Kazuichi rubbing his hand in his chin in pain, but Gundham grabbed his cheeks and gave the other boy a little kiss before backing up.
"My apologizes, I shouldn't have done that so suddenly"
"..." Kazuichi quickly became a flustered mess "eh, listen I haven't dated anyone before but, would you like to, I don't know, go grab some ice cream later?
"..." Gundham softly smiled "I would appreciate that"
"So that means we are dating?"
"I suppose, I haven't been in a relationship neither"
"Would you like to hold hands?" Kazuichi offered his hand and Gundham grabbed it
"I would like that"
Both boys started leaving but suddenly stopped when Kazuichi pulled his hand out off Gundham's grasp for a moment
"Sorry my hand is sweaty"
Then they hold hands and left the roof.
