[Kazuichi's POV]
I'm done with this, I can't take it anymore, because of my bullshit excuse of a dad, I'm locked in my room once again with nothing to eat.

I wish I could just break the door and stand up for myself, but I can't, he would instantly punch me in the gut and probably hit me with one of his beer bottles, if he's drunk enough. So my best option is to escape, I would've chosen a better day to leave, cuz it's snowing as hell outside, but I can't deal with it anymore. He always do this, he gets frustrated, he gets drunk, he lets out his anger in everything around him, sometimes that's me, it's always been like this ever since my mom died.
I packed my important stuff in a bag I had laying around, it luckily fit everything. I opened my window, I was in the second floor, but there's a tree I could climb down, I looked back again, I quickly put on a coat and jumped, I almost missed the tree, but I managed to hold on.

After getting down from the tree, I didn't know what to do now, I was cold, I started running, I entered to an alleyway and just ran, I didn't have a clue to where to go, much better than staying at that house, until I heard something, I quietly moved towards where I thought the noise came from, it sounded like a cat? A moment later I entered another alleyway and found a box, where a tiny kitten was meowing.
"Hey little lad" I said getting near, I held my hand close and the kitten pressed his head against it, "all by yourself? Well me too buddy" I saw them again, and they were shivering, I quickly opened a little bit my jacket, grabbed them and placed them inside, they started purring, or at least I thought that was purring, I've never been so close to an animal like this.
"Are ya' comfy" I said, I softly scratch his head with my finger, the kitten held onto me with their tiny claws.

Suddenly I heard something, I turned there was a big dog in the entering of the alleyway, the dog was growling, I can tell that it was angry. I freezed, I noticed how the kitten started to shiver again, but I know that it wasn't because of the cold.

I quickly ran back, I know that there was a dead end, but I don't want to get mauled to death by a dog, even more, I don't want this kitty to get hurt, I was running directly to a fence, I jumped over a trash can and climbed over it, trying to keep the kitty close to me, I landed and looked back, the dog was angrily looking us. But suddenly it tried to break the fence to catch us, I ran and ran, I didn't even noticed that I entered the forest until I was lost.

I was cold, hungry, lost in a forest, but I had a kitty with me, I started to get tired, the kitty woke me up again, and I kept on walking, it's already nighttime, I rested next to a tree, and checked the kitty, who was also getting tired.
"If you get hungry... don't eat me please" I said and fell asleep...

"... how unexpected of him..."

I suddenly woke up, I wasn't cold anymore. I was next to a campfire, I was covered in a cozy blanket. "Where the hell am I?" I thought

"Don't panic" I heard someone said, a deep voice I was already familiar
"G-Gundham?!" I yelled "w-where am I?? Where's the kitten?!" I asked
"You are in my, as mortals call it, home, and the brave beast is resting after the meal I gave them"

"Are they ok?" I asked

"They are just tired, I'm not sure you are aware, but I brought to your unconscious body by them, it seems that they were worried for you" said Gundham

"...y-you saved me... why?" I've always been mean to Gundham, why after all I've done to him, why did he brought me to his home.

"..." he looked away and covered his face with his scarf "even though im an immortal being" he blushed "I-I wouldn't leave someone alone"
