This quadratic equation should have two roots. Hmm.. one is the real answer and the other one should be- "Hmm?" i turned around to face the stares of my classmates. They aren't looking at me.. rather-
I turned my head to see the duo beside me. Xi was looking back and forth between me and the classmates while Yi had his head down on the table. Huh?
What's going on? i cocked my eyebrows. Sweat started to form on Xi's forehead. What?
"Alright class. Who knows the answer?" the teacher's voice broke our stare off causing us all to turn our attention to the teacher.
After school
"Hey~ Since it's till early, why don't we walk around the river bank?" Yi asked.
"No way" Xi answered immediately.
"I have time for like 15 minutes" i replied checking my phone.
"See? That's the spirit!" Yi patted my back. "Come on, Xheng Xi. Let's go together~" he said putting his arm around Xi's neck.
"Hey! Idiot! You're too close to me!!!" Xi said getting all flustered. Huh?
"What's wrong with you today? Aren't we like this everyday? What's up with you?" Yi asked gripping his neck tighter.
"A-Alix, help!" Xi tried escaping Yi's grip. His words were meant for me but his eyes were on something in front of us.
What's he looking at? turning my head around, i saw some of the students staring at us. I made an 'o' shape with my mouth finally understanding what was happening and why was it happening.
"Alright boys, let's go" i said intertwining my arms with theirs as i stood between them. After a few minutes of walk, we reached the river side.
"The school gave us a lot of homework for the weekend. Don't they feel bad for the students?" i grumbled as i kicked the pebble.
"This weekend, let's finish the homework together!" Yi said looking at me and Xi excitedly.
"Yes, we could do it at my place! Doing homeworks with your friends is much better than doing it alone" i said with a chuckle.
"No" Xi said causing me and Yi to look at him in shock.
"No to Alix or-"
"No to doing it together" Xi said cutting Yi off.
"Why?" Yi asked stepping towards him. Xi turned around and put his back on us.
"I feel like, you're trying to pull away from me. No matter what.. you are my best friend" Yi's words made Xi finally turn around.
Yi put out his fist towards Xi and Xi slowly but with a smile on his face, bumped his fist with Yi's. "Right"
I didn't want to get in between them so i slowly stepped back before turning around.
"Where are you going?" i heard Xi say before i was engulfed in a hug along with Yi.
"Home?" i chuckled.
"Homework. Weekend. Your place" Xi said before he released us two.
Yi and I shared glances before breaking out in a smile. "Alright!"
A few days later
"Have you finished copying the homework? We have to turn it in the next period" Yi said as he looked at the magazine.
"Almost" Xi replied still copying the homework. I was going through my news feed.
"Also, remember to change the wording of a few questions. Otherwise the teacher will notice that your homework matches with both mine and Alix's" Yi said.
You didn't change yours?! Is that why i gave you my copy? So that you could copy-paste?! i turned to face Yi to give him a piece of my mind before i saw Xi's drenched face. He was trembling and his eyes met mine. He hinted me to look down which i did.
Oh my i internally whistled seeing Yi put his leg on top of Xi's thigh. This would be perfect for a snap thinking that i pointed my phone at the boys and took a shot. I could literally hear Xi's disagreeing grumbles as i went through my chats.
"This weeks magazine issue's pretty good" Yi said still not taking his face off the magazine. Oh, i should give that as a caption! Thanks, Yi thanking him telepathically, i typed on my phone. I could feel Xi's glare burn holes in me causing me to snort.
I'm not the only one i glanced at Xi before i looked around to see my classmates. Half of the girls were staring at the duo and some of them were taking pictures like me. Haha, interesting.
