"Look at the beds here, Tim !!" Jane exclaimed. "This bed is just as big as Mother's and Father's bed."

She scampered her feet up on the bed with a red comforter sprawled across it before she leaned back and snuggled into the puffy pillow. She observed the barren walls of the room, the wooden doors of the closet. It was a blank slate. A chance to start fresh, and do something new with their lives. She already imagined what she wanted to do with the walls in this room. There would be pictures and painting, musical scores, heavy green curtains, just like the old house . . . or at least, that was what she thought a house should look like. She didn't know what else would really feel like home to her.

This truly was a blank slate.

They had been at Melanoff's estate for about an hour now, as Melanoff was closing down the factory and Nanny had went to the store to pick up clothes, soaps, and other miscellaneous things for the kids, since Melanoff lived on his own for the most part. The bathroom was basically filled with men's products such as electronic clippers, a nose hair trimmer, men's soaps, and barely any baby soap left for Ruth's poor eyes not to get burned ( and considering she was also going to be living here to help with the kids, she needed some of her own toiletries ), so she knew she had to buy them some things for themselves for the time being.

"But Nanny said that this was my room," Tim protested. "Your room is down the hallway."

"Do you want to come and look at it with me ? " she asked.

"I think I need a minute," he yawned. "That plane ride was . . . long."

"Suit yourself," she mentioned.

She walked downstairs to see both of the Barnabys in the living room. One was holding a small control and the other was watching as the air conditioner vents slowly opened and closed.

" Ooo ," one said.

"Open, shut, open, shut," the other pointed out.

"What are you two doing ? " she questioned.

"Look, Jane," one commented. " It opens."

He pressed the button again, before the vents opened again.

"Again !!" the second one exclaimed.

Jane then noticed something peculiar, that she had never seen in the dim lighting of House Willoughby. One of the twins had green eyes, and the other one had brown eyes . . . did all of them have different colored eyes ? What color were her own ? She grasped the Barnaby that was closer to her, before she squinted and examined his face.

"Is there something on my face ? " the twin asked.

"Which one are you ?" she questioned.

"I'm B.," the twin confirmed. "He's A.."

Barnaby A. waved at the both of them as he stood on the couch, with his shoes off ( at Nanny's insistence, so they didn't all track dirt onto the furniture ) . He bounced lightly on the soft couch cushion before he sat back down and went to take the remote away from his twin and shut the vents again.

The front door opened and they were greeted by the chipper voice of Nanny, announcing that she was home, and Ruth squealed in the baby carrier that she had strapped to her chest.
