Price Of Pride

Miya Atsumu has fell in and out of love many times. Even he admits that he's someone who wears his heart on his sleeves. He's dated quite a few, but none of them were people he has fallen in love with.

Pathetic.

He can only watch from a far as all the people he has fallen in love with, smiled as they held their lover. All he can do is Smile with fake warmth to the person he accepted the confession from.

He's guilty that the other person loves him dearly, yet he can't even try to return it. That's why all he can do is break it. He doesn't want to hurt them, it'll hurt them less if he said something along the lines of 'I cheated' or 'I've fallen out of love with you'

That way, they won't feel that sad. But rather angry at him. He doesn't want them to know that he never really loved the other.

It's selfish, he knows, But what can he do when he has never even been with someone he loves.

As he grew older, he learned of hook-ups, one-night stands, where you don't need love, he chose to ignore his feelings, cautious for he never wants to feel hurt of seeing another one of his Unrequited to be with another.

He decided to whore around, telling others about his supposedly private affairs so that they too would be cautious around him. It's so that those close to him would avoid falling in love with someone as filthy and self-centered as him.

The only one who knows of how he is behind his facade was, of course, his twin. Someone who has told him to stop all of his deeds and try to fall in love, for real this time.

This angered the blonde, he has tried. He tried falling in love, but where did that get him? Right. He just ended up getting hurt.

Seeing Hinata, the last person he decided to fall in love with, happily walking, hands intertwined with the only person who made him inferior on the only thing he's good at. Kageyama Tobio.

He thought him and the orange-haired boy had something. It was only him being delusional. He laughed at his piteous self for even trying.

He glared at his twin with mixed emotions; hurt, anger and tired. "You wouldn't understand Samu... Not when ya have Rin withja to make you happy and shit." He turned, walking out the door, leaving Osamu to stand still and gape at his shrinking figure.

A week after that, Atsumu finally decided to visit. During that week, Osamu had tried calling him but he just ignored it, Suna even tried calling him, but he also ignored it. He even went as far as to call Bokuto who was the closest to him in the Msby team.

He couldn't ignore it after that, so he decided to finally go and visit. Osamu Apologized, cooking for Atsumu as an apology. Atsumu accepted as they finished eating. But Osamu knew that the blonde still wanted space so all he could do was silently comfort the blonde.

A year finally went by and this was the start of Atsumu's downfall, The year where he wished he had never met. Sakusa Kiyoomi.

News of two new members joining made The team excited. Rumor has it that it was someone Atsumu and Bokuto knew well. Bokuto asking if that someone was nishi- nishe- nishno- or someone named washio but that person was already on Suna's team. Coach foster shook his head.

"Don't worry Bokkun, We'll meet'em in 2 weeks, hold yer horses okay?" Atsumu comforted Bokuto who nodded. Both went on to continue practicing their serves with inunaki.

2 weeks has passed and the day of meeting the new recruits arrived. Bokuto was shaking while he stood, apparently he overheard the coach and meian talking about how the two people who were about to join was Hinata shouyo and Sakusa Kiyoomi.
