𝐢𝐯 - 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞

It was raining, though, not the type of rain that would make you want to stay indoors; it was they type of in that made you want to sit and watch, watch the plants be nourished, the dirt and dust washed off of cars and sidewalks. It was warm too, a soft, summer warmth that made the atmosphere feel like a comforting blanket surrounding you.

Jisoo sat and leaned on her window of her apartment building, watching as cars drove by and pedestrians walk past, huddling themselves under their umbrellas for shelter from the shower.

Times like these are what helped put her mind to ease, to hear the sound of millions, trillions of droplets falling from the sky, acting as calming background noise as she was left to her own devices.

Suddenly, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned and saw Rosé covering herself in her favourite soft baby pink blanket. "Jisoo, someone scary wants to meet you."

Because of her imagining, she didn't quite hear what Rosé said. She instead just nodded and went to the living room and saw him sitting on the couch, possibly waiting for someone.

"Kim Jisoo, is it true you're going out with V?"

Out of disbelief she said, "Pardon me?"

He showed her a picture of her and Taehyung hugging outside of a cafe. "Now, tell me, is it true?"

"No. We went out as friends."

"The media wouldn't want to believe that. Since you did this to yourself, I have an idea you either might like it or...not. But either way, you don't have a choice since I have already discussed this with Bang PD. You and Taehyung are going to go out as a couple. Fake couple, of course. For six months. After that, you will break up. Before you ask the reason, it's for publicity. You will start going out with him next week on Tuesday at a restaurant that I have preserved. No objections?"

"But I-"

He clasped his hands together, "Okay! Now, if you excuse me, I have a news to put out."

After he left, Jisoo was left there stunned, shocked, confused. Rosé came out of the corner she was hiding and sat beside Jisoo. She rubbed her hand soothingly on Jisoo's back.

"I don't know what happened but I hope you're feeling okay." Rosé said softly. Jisoo turned and smiled at her. Rosé knew that was not a sincere smile.

"I'm okay, Rosie. Thank you." Jisoo pulled Rosé to a hug. Ros wasn't hesitant to hug her back.

Jisoo went back to her room and closed the door. She grabbed her phone quickly to call Taehyung. He picked up.

"Taehyung..."

"Jisoo, hey. I assumed you have heard the news?"

"Yes, I have. Why did you agree?"

"There was really no other choice. Even if I had turned it down, they would force us."

She sighed. "You're right."

"How are you feeling?"

"Shocked. That's for sure." She chuckled. "Well, see you next week then."

"See you, Jisoo. Good-night."

Jisoo's smile grew wider. "Good-night, Taehyung."
