"Uh . . . a-about that, I actually have to pick Alison up. She had a date too so. . . "
"Oh" She took a step back, the very hand that had been sliding up her other arm suddenly falling off to her side.
"Yup" I shoved my hands back in my jeans, twiddling back and forth. My tongue continued to roll around in my mouth. I felt a bit guilty to reject her like that , but to be honest I wouldn't have gone to her place even if I was free later. It was the first date after all.
Taking things fast only fucks you over in the end
And I definitely wasn't looking to trip myself over right now. "Go ahead." So, I told her instead. "I just have to use the bathroom real quick. Let's plan this thing again next week, yeah?" This new surge of confidence felt all new to me, and I was lovin' it.
She didn't seem by phased my retreat, rather the smile that she had on her face only grew wider. "Sure thing. See you around then."
I looked at her for the last time, leaning closer to kiss her on the cheek. She raised her eyebrow at me amusedly, but all I could do was turn around and try rushing towards the bathroom.
FUCK THAT WAS BOLD
"Bab- I mean, Selena?"
Her voice caused me to turn back on my heels, my heart still seemingly speeding faster than your average flashy lamborghini. "Y-Yeah?"
She came up to me with her hand reaching into her pocket. "It's not much, I know. But I'd love you to have it. " She said, her hand finally coming out to reveal a bead bracelet.
Aw now that's really cute
"Thanks. That-That's really sweet of you." I couldn't help but chuckle under my breath as she shifted a loose strand behind her ear. She held my hand, sliding the rainbow-y bracelet gingerly over to my wrist. "It's one of my favourite bands. I don't want you to ever pull it off yourself."
"You have my promise, I won't." I chimed in, bringing my hand over to my heart. And that sure earned a grin to spread across her lips.
Today was an official success
A few minutes later, I finally found myself behind the closed doors of the bathroom, butterflies fluttering through every inch of my intestines. It wouldn't have been hard to believe if I fainted whilst I peed.
But guess what bitches? Today is MY lucky day. I finished my business with no tunnel visions or blackouts of any sort.
And for once I felt good. It felt so fucking good; for once did it feel like I was in control of the things and once done with my business, I couldn't help but pump my fist in the air. My first date with her was officially a success.
She even gave me a fucking rainbow bracelet
I should've brought something for her too. That would have looked nice. But it wasn't like I knew that we would be exchanging gifts on our very first date. Maybe I'll bring one to our next date
I knew a shit-eating grin came wrinkling around my lips once that I was done washing my hands. I knew I was all too lost to notice that someone had their eyes on me all this while.
"Stephanie" tumbled the word right out of my mouth as soon as my eyes met her in the mirror. She stood leaning against the bathroom door, arms crossed up. She wasn't here for anything good, but the innocent smile on her lips could easily convince someone otherwise.
"Selena" She purred, winking back at me. The gloss lipstick covering her lips seemed quite overdone.
Wait WUT? That shouldn't be any of your concerns miss dumass
"What are you doing here?" I asked her straight to the point. There wasn't going to be any beating around the bush this time. She had pulled enough tricks in the past, knocked the air out of me all the while that I thought of her to be some Virgin Mary.
She grinned, the tip of her tongue sticking out at the corner of her mouth, "Isn't that obvious baby? I work here, been working here for quite a while actually."
This girl has to be kidding me
She sauntered closer, her hip leaning against the counter a few inches next to me. I stood straighter, crossing my arms facing her as my eyes narrowed in on her. "The last time that I checked, you were living over a 100 miles from here."
"And that last time was about a month ago." She smirked, somehow finding our conversation amusing Things change. Time changes things, situations . . . even people themselves."
"But hey, does that mean you've kept your tabs on me? I don't remember telling you where I had moved on to after high school." And I watched that amusement in her expressions inflate.
This only made me groan in response. Yes, I might have stalked her over social media for a while. I NEEDED to know where she was, what she had decided to do after things changed in between us. "I don't wanna do this again Steph. Please just . . . leave me alone."
Something stirred in her expressions; the smug look that she held faltering down for a moment. Brows raised, her face turned into one that was laced with adoration. "That's the problem baby. I just can't seem to move on from you, move on from us. "
"I am seeing someone." I deadpanned.
"She's not even your type. Like come on babygirl!" She groaned, throwing her hands up.
I merely shrugged, my lips squeezing together. The type of people I prefer dating shouldn't be any of her business, at least not anymore. "People change, remember?"
She just sighed, looking around once only to close the proximity in between us two. My breath hitched momentarily, my hands coming up automatically in order to push her away.
But where was I supposed to place 'em? Boobies are a big no-no. I could already see the possibilities of where that could end us up. Holding her by her waist won't do much either. I looked at her with pleading eyes, finding myself backing up against the sidewall as my arms fell back down. "D-Don't. Stephanie."
"But your face says otherwise. . ." She glided her finger across my bottom lip, only leading my jaw to hang to slide open. Her grey hazel gaze seemed as hypnotizing as ever. It had been a year, if not more since I had seen her.
Yet her touch still felt the very same. . .
"I-I", My voice seemed to grow weaker and weaker the more that they stared into those metallic orbs. Her lips parted, her breath hitting my nose ever so huskily.
"I still love you baby."
Her lips latched over mine, the words still resounding deeply in my mind.

Heyoo my sweet potatoes!!
Finally, I grew up some balls T.T
What do I mean by that? Well,I am finally being able to make my characters kiss, talk sexy and perhaps push the boundaries further as the story moves on. And all of that within the first 10 chapters.
An year younger me wouldn't even have the MCs touch hands until the end of the 15th Chapter or something.
Do you see the progress right there????????
