[The first of many re-uploads! This was my first ever BNHA one-shot on Wattpad, so please take that into consideration!]
Your Quirk: Lightswitch - you can light up like a glowstick, the brighter the light, the harder and longer recovery time is.
"W-Wait up Bakugou!"
You ran as fast as you could, trying to keep up with the hero as he sprinted away, wanting to catch that bastard villain as fast as he could. As you ran you apologized to the civilians he had previously shoved out of the way. Why does he always have to use his quirk?!
The trail of ash from his small explosions led you down an alleyway and even further until you were in an abandoned part of the city. Your run slowed to a jog and eventually you stopped all together, losing both the villain and your partner.
"B...Bakugou? Bakugou where are you?"
You loudly whispered, wanting to only alert the hero you chased after and no one else. That didn't work though, because you did alert someone, but it wasn't who you wanted.
You made your way into a decrepit building that looked like it had been abandoned for years, but you knew it probably wasn't. These areas of the city were abandoned by society yes, but they were a perfect hideout for gangs and others on the run from police. A shiver ran up your spine as you headed down into the parking garage underground, feeling chills running up and down your arms.
"Bakugou..come on where are you-"
You froze when you heard something behind you. What was that, a rat? Footsteps?! You inhaled sharply and released, feeling your body tense up as a dim luminescence surrounded a two foot radius around you. A sound came again from behind you and you spun around, straining your muscles to make the light shine even further. Four feet, five feet...six-
You stopped and gasped for breath, panting as you tried to get the light to reach as far as it could. By now most of the section you were in was lit up, and you stared deep into the shadows that you didn't reach. The sound was back, this time you knew what is was. Footsteps. A man walked around the border of your light, keeping himself hidden but letting you know where he was. He hummed softly as if he were bored, like he thought this was a game.
"Cool Quirk, seems a bit useless in combat though." You could hear the smile on his face as his comment ended. You swallowed your nerve and dug your feet into the ground, ready for a surprise attack.
"It has its ups and downs, but I'd like to see what you can do."
"Are you sure about that?" His words echoed in the silence and a moment after he stepped out into the light. Your eyes widened and your body tensed up again, moving unconsciously into a fighting stance.
"Dabi." The bastard that you and Bakugou had been tailing. The villain that made you get separated. He had no smile, just a vacant expression, as if he didn't even want to be there. "Oh, you know my name? How sweet of you to use it."
"Where's Bakugou."
He blinked and stared at you, his eyes half lidded as he pulled his hands out of his pockets, once again moving towards you. "I'm not sure, I ditched him a while ago, shouldn't you know where he is?" Your breath slowed down as you tried to calm yourself, letting the edge of your light follow the man in front of you. "I guess I don't need him to take you down."
