...
..et?"
...
"Is she awake yet?"
"I'm not sure, I think Recovery Girl said it would be a few more hours.."
You groaned quietly and opened your eyes, wanting to shield yourself from the bright fluorescent lights. Your eyelids felt heavy as you lifted your almost numb arm, seeing the IV stuck into your skin. Suddenly the door was flung open and even more people rushed in, staring at you with wide eyes, some tears, and shocked expressions.
"(L/N)!"
"(F/N)! Are you alright?"
"Are you feeling better? We brought you a melon-"
A short boy with purple balls on the top of his head leaned up on his tip toes, setting a small green melon near your leg. You frowned and shifted, groaning quietly as you struggled to sit up further. A boy with red, spiky hair moved closer and helped you sit up, sighing with relief.
"I'm just glad you're awake (F/N), you have no idea how badly-"
"I-"
You cut him off, just as a doctor came into the room, followed by a nurse, and another doctor; a small, very small, woman with a syringe in her hair.
"Everyone, please, it isn't healthy to bombard (L/N) right away with questions. She can have visitors after-"
"Um, Sir?"
You stared at the teens before staring back at the doctor, furrowing your eyebrows in confusion.
"I'm...I'm (L/N), right? Is that what I'm getting from this?"
The aura in the room changed, one of the teens covering her mouth as she gasped. Her black hair was pinned up into a pony that hung over her sweater, her other hand fidgeting with her sleeve. A brunette girl with bright brown eyes tapped her fingers on the side of the bed, whispering nervously.
"Y-You can't be serious-"
"(L/N) always was a jokester, you're just messing with us, right?"
A bright blonde male smiled and winked at you, putting his hand on your shoulder as you shrugged it away.
"I...I don't know what you're talking about, or who you are-"
"Please, everyone, leave so we can evaluate her."
Eventually, the doctors and nurses were able to get everyone out of the room, and you saw them still peering in through the tinted window. With a quiet sigh, the older woman came closer and sat in a chair near the bed.
"I don't know what you remember, but you might have some form of amnesia. Whether it was from a quirk or the accident, we can't be sure. Do you remember anything? Anything at all?"
You stared at the woman with confused eyes, looking down at your hands as you thought.
"Um...I know that 80% of the population has abilities called quirks. Pro Hero is a job, there's villains, our world is like a comic book come to life-"
"Anything about yourself?"
"I don't think so...I guess my name is (L/N)..."
The doctor hummed and pulled out a clip board, reading over a sheet of general information about you.
"You're (L/N)(F/N), 16, student at Yuuei High, your quirk is-"
"I'm a Yuuei student?!"
You sat up further, a little too fast as a wave of nausea washed over you, sending you back against the bed. The older woman nodded and patted her hands on her knees boredly, trying to fill you in without scaring you.
