"What are you doing?" asks Vernon.
"Ano ba sa tingin mo yung ginagawa ko?" I asked him back and gave him a look from head to toe.
"I mean, I know you're online, but, why are you stalking them?"
Dino walks in to save the conversation. Masyadong matanong 'tong si Vernon.
Dino: Nako, nako, nako! Ano na naman yang binabalak mo, Seungkwan?
"Wala ka na dun, isa ka pa, eh."
"Let's just wait and see kung ano ba talaga yung ginagawa niya." Says Vernon as he pushes Dino away from me. Umupo sila sa tabi ko while I scroll through my friends' profiles on the internet.
After looking for the details and information I need, napasigaw ako nang malakas. "Yes, Finally!"
Finally, nahanap ko na lahat ng possible lovers ng friends ko. All I need is to message them and see if they're available the whole summer.
"Ah! Alam ko na! Pakialamero ka talaga ng buhay, Seungkwan!" Dino says in a loud voice. Wala na talagang galang sakin 'to.
Vernon: I'm confused, what's going on ba talaga?
Dino: Nako, alam na alam ko na talaga yan. Naalala mo 'tong si Seungkwan last year, yung time na nangialam siya sa Information Technology department sa school?
Vernon: Yung naghanap siya ng pwedeng tumulong sa kanya sa feasibility study niya nung first semester?
Dino: Vernon, isipin mo nga, wala naman siyang feasibility which involves technology and all that. Performing Arts student yan, ang feasibility niyan, either kumanta, mag-perform; wala namang sinabi na bumuo sila ng dating app!
"Hoy! Ang kapal ng mukha mong sabihin na gumawa ako ng dating app!"
Dino: Kumalat yun sa block namin, wag ka nang magmalinis.
"Fine, ginawa ko lang naman yun dahil ang dami kong kilala na single, nahihirapan sila maghanap ng lovers, and I just want to help."
Dino: Bakit, si kupido ka ba? What if hindi naman talaga sila nahihirapan, what if they're just too busy to find love?
"Eh kaya nga hindi na love ang ibibigay ko sa kanila at first! Temptation na agad... kabastusan, kaharutan, and all that."
Vernon: You're out of your mind. Stop that dating app idea.
"Wala naman nang dating app idea na tumatakbo sa isip ko. Iba na 'to. I want to spend the whole summer sa province, where there's fresh air, the beach, remote islands... Let's start a temptation island, sige na!"
Dino: Wow! Saan ka naman kukuha ng pera para jan?
"Dino, nakalimutan mo na bang I'm filthy rich? Haha! I earn money from the gigs I join, plus, if I ask my parents for money and if they find out na I'll be spending it all in the province, matutuwa yun, syempre tatlong buwan akong wala sa bahay, walang makikipag-away sa kanila."
Vernon: Okay... enlighten me again on why you're doing this...?
I roll my eyes and look at my laptop again.
"Kawanggawa na nga 'to eh, ayaw niyo pa."
Dino: O, sige na nga. Para hindi ka na mag inarte, ano bang ganap?
I smile at Dino and open a document file from my laptop.
"Here's the plan: Temptation Island by Boo Seungkwan, the smartest person in the world, the universe, rather. I'll be inviting my two dear friends, Ms. Hyun, and Ms. Jeong, sila yung mga... mga... bida...?"
