Po's training unfolded over the next several days... He did sit ups with Vee while they dangled on a tree branch by their legs, a long drop below them and Shifu held a bowl of dumplings above Po to help him concentrate. Suddenly, the branch snapped partially. Vee immediately teleported herself to the ground ledge while Po nearly fell but managed to rescue the dumplings. Then the branch broke and Po fell out of sight, while Shifu rescued the dumplings himself.

"Next." Vee said.

Later, in a clearing, Shifu gave Po a bowl, but seconds later he attacked him with a staff. Po managed to fend him off for three seconds before Shifu smashed the bowl.

"Onward." Vee said.

Later, in the grass field, Po lunged at Shifu for an elusive dumpling which the master kept tossing out of his reach.

"Progress is working." Vee smiled.

Then Po was forced to do push ups above a bed of hot coals while he attempted to reach a bowl of food with his tongue each time he lowered himself. Vee practiced her own push ups as well.

Then Po and Shifu stood on rocks while Po balanced several bowls of soup on his body. Vee meditated in mid air as her magic created a turquoise aura that emitted around her body.

Back in the clearing, Po snuck toward a large pot. Shifu and Vee were nowhere in sight. Just as Po reached into the pot with a bowl, Shifu leapt out of nowhere and attacked him with his staff. Po managed to block Shifu several times, but he was unable to stop him from smacking the bowl from his paws. As he balanced on the pot with his staff, Shifu proceeds to slurp the soup. Po tried to knock the staff from under him, but it smacked his nose and returned to its position.

"Okay, let's go again." Vee said as she came out.

As his training progressed, Po steadily became efficient at kung fu, as he was able to mimic Shifu's elaborate kung fu moves, push ups with one finger, and blocked all of Shifu's attacks.

One day, Shifu sets a bowl of dumplings and two empty bowls on a boulder. Vee had a peach in her hands and she sat on a rock. Shifu picked up a pair of chopsticks.

"After you, panda." Shifu said.

"Just like that?" Po asked as she stopped short, suspiciously. "No sit-ups? N-no...no ten-mile hike?"

"I vowed to train you... and you have been trained." Shifu said. "You are free to eat."

Po looked at Vee a confused glance.

"Hey, he said you're free to eat." Vee recalled. "What do you think I'm doing?"

Still suspicious, Po sat down opposite side of Shifu. He cautiously picked up a pair of chopsticks, and grabbed a dumpling.

"Enjoy." Shifu smiled.

Po smiled and raised the dumpling to his mouth. WHOOSH! Shifu snatched the dumpling away and ate it himself.

"Hey!" Po said.

"I said you are free to eat." Shifu recalled. "Have a dumpling."

Po reached again. Shifu leapt across the table and kicked the dumpling into the air.

"Hey!" Po said.

Shifu ate it and Po scowled. The two glared at each other...it was on now. Vee viewed the scene with anticipation.

"You are free...to eat!" Shifu recalled.

"Am I?!" Po asked.

"Are you?!" Shifu asked.

Po and Shifu got ready with their chopsticks. Po slammed the table and sent the bowl of dumplings airborne. Shifu jumped up and ate all of them except one. Back and forth, Po and Shifu sparred, vying for the dumpling. Until there was only one Shifu tried every trick to keep the dumpling away from Po. He hid it underneath one of the bowls. As Shifu put the other two bowls down, he turned the array of overturned bowls into a shell game, as he slid the bowls around at top speed to hide the dumpling. When Shifu finished his hiding, Po found the right bowl.

"WHOO!" Po cheered.

Shifu used his chopsticks as weapons to smack Po's chopsticks away. He attacked Po with his bamboo staff. But Po skillfully managed to best Shifu for the final dumpling, as he used his belly to bounce the dumpling away from Shifu and nabbed it in his chopticks.

"Yeah!" Vee cheered as she ran over. "You did it!"

Shifu smiled. Po had passed the final test. Shifu gestured silently... now Po was free to eat. But then Po tossed the dumpling into Shifu's open paw. Shifu looked up at him, surprised.

"I'm not hungry." Po said.

Shifu smiled and tossed the dumpling to Vee, who caught it in her hands.

"Master." Po saluted.

Shifu, Vee, and Po bowed to each other.
