Jin: Oh, I almost forgot... You're probably offline today because of chemo, right? 😢💞 You told me about it a few days ago, actually. The day before yesterday, I believe. You said that they take your phone away at this hour due to radiation.

Jin: Don't worry, Joonie. I'll visit you around 4:30 p.m. I know that you like to take a nap at 3:00 p.m. and usually you'll be very sleepy, so I won't distract my brave knight from getting his rest 😁 Goodbye for now, I love you! ♥

Jin is offline...

~~~
It's been two days since Jin first met Namjoon. The shy yet sweet teen boy has been stuck on his mind all day today. His need to find out about him was so persistent that it ended in him taking a trip to the hospital, assuming that Namjoon's phone was still unavailable to him because of his chemoradiation therapy.
By now, he was stepping down from his car and making his way into a bright and highly antimicrobial environment where he last saw his loving close friend, who he assumed was his lover by now, considering such a memorable and unforgettable kiss they shared together.
Whether or not Namjoon decided to be friends or more than friends with Jin, his decision wouldn't affect the amount of love and caring that the older boy had for him.
The past weekend that they met, Jin grew unimaginably close to Namjoon, and nothing could change his mind on how he felt for him. It was more than clear to him that he had never felt this way before over anyone else.
All that he could think of is seeing the look of joy on Namjoon's face when giving him another surprise visit.
"Maybe I could even make this a daily routine for me from now on, whenever I get a free chance to come here. I'll be visiting Joonie up until he's finally released from this hospital when he gets cured. He'll be so happy, and so will I!" With a sympathetic smile across his face, Jin walked towards the receptionist at the hospital when suddenly, he noticed a familiar looking face pass him by.
Not wanting to waste time in talking to the lady in the front, the young adult teen turned around to greet a male nurse who was holding hands with a shorter woman.
"Umm, pardon me. You two are Namjoon's nurses, right?" The pair turned to nod at Jin with matching purple ribbons on either one of their scrubs. Each of the pins caught Jin's attention as he had also seen the receptionist with a similar looking pin on her shirt as well.
"You're Jin, right?" Jin nodded back at the male nurse who padded his shoulder and let go of the woman's hand, leading the young boy towards the dim corridors of the hospital.
As more medical staff members approached them and walked by in a small group, Jin noticed that, yet again, a purple ribbon was on each one of their white and dark blue uniforms.
"Yeonu, I'm curious: Why are you all wearing a purple ribbon? I noticed many of you had one pinned onto the left side of your shirts." Nurse Yeonu grew very silent, but found a way to explain the meaning behind the purple ribbons.
He first lead Jin to take a seat in his office for a moment, having a moment to spare for the young boy who was still clueless about what was going on.
"You came here two days ago, on a special event for one very special patient and a friend of yours, right, buddy?" Jin furrowed his eyebrows, nodding at the older male who kept on fidgeting with his hands.
"This event was called "Make a Wish". Do you happen to know what this event means to most cancer patients? Or at least, have an idea of what it could mean to them?" When he truly came to think of it, Jin had no idea what "Make a Wish" even meant.
He tilted his head to his sides, shrugging in silence as he awaited for the pensive man to give him a response, as curiosity lay resting in the distant boy's head for a moment.
But all thoughts fell silent in the back of Jin's mind when Yeonu spoke at long last. "You see, "Make a Wish" is what we give to cancer patients who are at a very advanced stage in their terminal illnesses. In this case, Namjoon had been battling with his lung cancer for three years and we had given him a paper for him to fill it out.
A paper that would tell us what he had wished for. We gave it to him, and it wasn't until yesterday... That he finally filled it out." With confusion and almost a feeling of his heart sinking in, Jin parted his lips to speak. His hands refusing to stop shaking throughout it all.
"But... Yesterday, I saw Namjoon in almost a perfect condition, Yeonu. I-if you would have just seen the way he kept on smiling the whole time we took that walk around the little garden outside of the hospital, we had such a great time. But please, tell me... What do your purple ribbons have to do with the "Make a Wish" event, nurse?" A tear slid down Yeonu's cheek, but he was quick to brush it off, being a professional in Jin's presence.
"This was part of what was in Namjoon's wish, only to tell you more about this, I'd have to give you this-" He paused, handing a letter to the boy.
With no further explanations, nurse Yeonu left Jin alone in his office, allowing him to read what was on the letter.
"It says "Dear Jin", but where could Namjoon be...?"
