The strange girl sat scared and confused as Mike questioned her. "Is there a number we can call for your parents?"

"Where's your hair? Do you have cancer?" Dustin got an elbow to the ribs for that one. "Hey! The fuck Ash!?"

"Did you run away?" Lucas asked, ignoring the other two.

"Are you in some kind of trouble?" Mike again.

"Is that blood? Should I get my first aid kit? I'm gonna get my first aid kit." Ashley gushed feeling a sense of protectiveness over the girl. Taking fast paced steps to her bag she then started digging around for her ziplock of medical supplies.

"I bet she's deaf." Dustin clapped his hands at the girl. "Not deaf."

"No shit. Would you stop? You guys are freaking her out." Ashley's voice spoke up from the other side of the room.

"She's freaking me out!" Lucas, ever the asshole, spoke up.

"All right, that's enough, all right? She's just scared and cold." Mike sped over next to Ashley to grab some clean clothes. He spared her a glance to see her still frantically digging trying to find what she needed.

Ashley's mind was fuzzy as she mumbled under her breath about where the blood could possibly be from and how to fix it.

"Oh my god! Oh my god!" Hearing Dustin's cracking and panicked voice she spun around.

"What happened? What's wrong?!"

"She's fucking stripping!"

"SHE'S NOT STRIPPING!"

"Jesus Michael calm down!" Finally grasping the first aid kit she made her way back to the small girl. Elbowing Dustin on the way. "Calm yourself"

"Hey what're you doing?"

"Relax Michael, I won't steal your girl- although I could. I'm just gonna see if she needs patched up, give her some privacy."

Mike pulled a face at that. "Wha- no! She's not my-...wait. Steal her? But you're a girl."

"Nobody likes a homophobic asshole, Frogface." She crouched down in front of the wide eyed girl and gave a reassuring smile. "Hey, I'm Ashley. Mind if we head on over there?" She gave a quick point towards the bathroom. "So you can change. It's called privacy. Just so these guys don't blow a fuse." She slowly stood up to lead the girl past her easel and to the bathroom. "Let me know if you're hurt alright? I've got bandages and alcohol to clean it." She gave another small smile and opened the door gesturing inside making trumpet noises in a grand reveal. "The basement bathroom m'lady." She bowed and smirked in pride when she heard the girl hold back a giggle. As she went to close the door she was stopped. Looking back to the girl she slowly raised her hands in surrender. "Don't want the door closed hm?"
