Chapter 35

With a heavy heart Taehyung knocked on the way too familiar door. The door he had passed through many times before and now blocked the entrance the place he used to call home. Today would be the very last time he would ever walk through it. This whole place soon belonged to his past and while that idea used to scare and sadden Taehyung a lot, it now made the grey haired boy happy. It was about damn time he'd finally move on from his past.

It didn't take long for Bogum to open the door, a confused look clearly visible on his face. It was kinda logical that the ravenette wasn't expecting any visitors right now, it was ten in the evening and since Taehyung hadn't called beforehand it was quite the miracle that Bogum was actually opening the door right now.

"Tae?" Bogum spoke in a confused tone before a smile began to break out on his face. "What are you doing here babe?" The older male asked and immediately Taehyung smiled back awkwardly while cringing on the inside by the petname he just got called by his ex boyfriend. He didn't like the way Bogum was adressing him right now and while in the past his heart would have melted by hearing this exact same nickname all it did now was make the singer roll his eyes. Funny how times change right?

"We need to talk. Can I come in?" Taehyung decided to go straight to the point of his visit. There was no point in having some useless conversation beforehand. The grey haired boy had made up his mind and this time he knew exactly what he was doing here. He needed to cut off the last string between him and his ex, the times of Bogum holding Taehyung back in any way needed to be over.

"Uhhm sure?" Bogum answered before he turned around and walked back inside, leaving the door open so that Taehyung could follow him inside. The grey haired boy took a deep breath before he sighed and followed the ravenette inside. This moment mattered so much to him and he couldn't fuck it up like last time. This time it was finally time to release himself from every single chain Bogum had put on him.

"Do you want something to drink?" Bogum asked before he mentioned for Taehyung to sit down on the way too familiar couch in the livingroom. Immediately the singer shook his head while a small smile began to form onto his face. "No thanks, I won't be staying long."

Bogum only nodded in response before he sat down right next to Taehyung and took his hand in his own. "Okay. Then what did you want to talk about?" The older male spoke while sending a wink Taehyung's way. The grey haired boy immediately began to blush and he quickly looked away while retreating his hand from the other's grip. All the stuff Bogum was doing right now was meant for couples and they certainly weren't a couple anymore. This just all felt too wrong.

"I kissed Jungkook." Taehyung blurted out, getting the worst part off his chest first. The younger looked up with fear in his eyes and a pounding heart in his chest. This news was without a doubt what Bogum would be most mad about and while Taehyung did not regret it one bit he could understand that Bogum wouldn't like this news.

Bogum's whole aura changed within a second and suddenly the boy's eyes darkened while his fists balled themselves on his lap. "Why...?" The older dragged the word dangerously long and just by that Taehyung knew he was mad, extremely mad. In the two years they had dated the grey haired boy had gotted to know all habits of the older like the palm of his hand and him dragging words wasn't something good. That often meant Bogum either would start screaming or would raise his fists.

The singer's eyes grew wide and locked eyes with Bogum. "Because I like him and it felt like the right thing to do." Taehyung admitted honestly, not wanting to lie any longer. Not to Bogum or to himself. Their relationship was over and the spark between them had died out long ago. There was no use in keeping each other on a leash anymore, they were only holding each other back right now.
