Suddenly Katsuki's sight was blinded by the scarlet light the red eyes weakly but still shone so brightly. Kirishima blinked a few times because of the burning feeling of the colors striking his retina. When his sight finally seemed to recover to normal colors he noticed a man with spiky blond hair standing beside the bed he was laying in, still unable to properly move.

Had it been that man's voice that sounded so desperately through the dark waves? The tears had stopped forming in Katsuki's eyes, as if his body didn't know how to react to the man's awakening. Katsuki's mind was too blank to form words to say. The man just stood there waiting for the redhead to break the silence.

When suddenly the pale redhead finally created a husky sound that the other couldn't really turn into words. Hearing Kirishima's damaged but still warm familiar voice made Katsuki's mouth move into a smile. The one not a lot of people had ever been able to see in his life. A caring face expression in combination with the salty tears now leaving Katsuki's eyes in relief and happiness. The redhead returned it, but in a softer version due to the pain occupying his body.

And like that they just stared at each other for minutes. Almost as if their eyes were communicating, because their voices weren't able to. Saying the things words could never, as tears took over only Katsuki's face and Kirishima just kept reassuring him with a tired smile.

When suddenly a pink woman stormed into the white room, also left speechless when seeing the wounded man's head moving towards the door. Without thinking she rushed over to the bed, she had been waiting next to for so many nights for a sign. When Mina saw her boyfriend's face expression litting up as the hazel eyes connected with the heavy scarlet ones.

Mina crashed on top of the redhead's chest, which made Kirishima first gasp for air to then smile when recognizing the woman's face, voice, eyes and scent. "You're back" she brought out in a harsh voice as the sobbing made her shoulders move up and down unsteadily. The warm embrace made Kirishima's heart beat like a drum, making him feel alive again for the first time since that night.

"You're back" Mina repeated for the forth time still hoping she would once believe it. "I thought I had lost you" she sobbed when Kirishima lifted his hand slowly and let it fall in the pink strands of hair carefully. Because his muscles were slowly starting to listen to his mind, he tried bringing out some words again through sudden breaths.

"I am so so-" He paused regaining his strength and acces to the husky voice. "Orry for worryi- ing you" he brought out and ended with a bright smile and closed eyes that still felt heavy. These words made Katsuki's last tear start its way down his cheek and left him with the strength for words.

"Yesterday he tried walking for the first time" the woman said while writing down some new measurements. Izuku had finally managed to gain some weight after the traumatic experience and seemed to look out for himself. "They say the wounds are healing really fast so he'll probably be able to walk alone soon" she continued as she placed the pencil behind her ear under her spiky black hair.

"That's a relieve" Izuku said trying not to seem as distracted as he felt. Katsuki had been really distant lately and it had start spooking in his mind. Was he still planning on marrying Izuku? It's not like the blond had ever bothered to ask. Although that didn't surprise Izuku, cause he didn't really see Katsuki as a person to propose. Izuku didn't feel like he needed that, but still felt this growing distance between them. Since he hadn't spoken him properly in days. The blond always seemed busy and left Izuku as soon as he approached him.
