Korem woke up first. He laid a moment in bed, staring absently to the stone ceiling, recalling the events of the day before. Sel, castle invasion, book stealing, stranded on the beach, Sel collapsing. Yeah, pretty much it. Hell, that girl really had something, either she was the boldest person he'd ever met, or the most recklessly stupid. Now that he thought about it, it was probably both. He took a few minutes to let everything settle, and then he finally stood up. He grabbed a set of clean clothes and a towel, and marched to the building Sel had fixed as a bathroom. She had done a really nice work with the ruins, fixing some of them up as rooms, a bathroom and a kitchen. It would be nice to know what that place originally was, but considering he couldn't even remember the past years of his life, it didn't sound very likely at the moment.
After a quick shower and changing into the clean clothes, he put the dirty one in the washing device (some sort of machine Sel had enchanted to wash the clothes, which he was very grateful for) and went to the kitchen. He entered the stone room and went to the shelves looking for something to eat. Great, just great, he muttered after finding nothing, just a bit of candy Sel liked, and most certainly would kill him for eating. Speaking of, she had not woken up yet; she was not a morning person, but it was getting late. He debated for a moment if going to wake her or not, and wisely decided against. He'll give her a couple more hours, meanwhile, there was something he needed to check.

"Stop this!" A voice cried out. It was blurry, no face, but every word full of desperation, pleading and...anger? "No one deserves this!"
"You do" A second voice was heard. Cold, resentful, determined.
A blurry figure stood up, still unrecognizable in the middle is the storm, but it looked oddly familiar. She took a step forward, and said, with furious strength.
"Maybe, but it doesn't matter. This. Ends. Now."
"No, it doesn't, unless you want to hurt him" a third figure appeared behind the cold voice. No faces, they had faces surely, but they were... missing, unrecognizable.
Then everything crumbled, and she was in the middle of the forest, with the third figure in the ground, there was something familiar. Then she heard a whisper, and turned to the direction it was coming, but found nothing. A second whisper, another direction, still no one. A third whisper "You did this"

"What did I do?" she replied, shouted, she knew she was, but it was barely audible.

"It's your fault" another whisper, this one sounded more like a hissing. "Come find me" a plead. Before she could reply, she found herself falling through the ground, screaming for help, but she seemed to keep falling in this bottomless pit.

Sel woke up panting. It took a few moments to catch her breath; she tapped her bed to make sure she wasn't falling anymore. Good, solid. After she calmed, she let the dream reply in her head. It wasn't the first time she dreamed this, well, maybe not exactly this, but, the words, the scenario, it kept coming back. Why? Great question; no idea. Try asking the faceless people in the dream. A few more minutes in bed, staring at the ceiling, after she finally gathered the will to move. She stood up, and the first thing she noticed was the lack of shoes. When did she took them off? Wait, how did she make it to her bed? Last thing she remembered was the beach, so she was pretty sure she passed out there; I mean, after the storm and tele transportation it was perfectly understandable. Second thing she noticed was the green-leather book in her nightstand. She grabbed it, opened it, flipped a couple pages and put it back. Yep, that was definitely the one, she would check it later, when she wasn't all sleepy. She took a set of clean clothes and dragged herself to the bathroom.

After a long warm shower and change of clothes she noticed Korem's clothes from the past day were already in the washing thingy. Early bird. She directed herself to the kitchen, and realized to her displeasure that there was no food. Great, he ate it all. Where is he anyway? She wandered between the ruins calling for him. No answer. She started walking in autopilot, while thinking where else he could be. Maybe he ran away. Sure, after he had asked to stay. Maybe he took the book and is going to cast some spell on you. The book is in the room, and he has no magic anyway. She kept theorizing and her feet took her to the border near the beach, until she bumped into something, or rather someone. She tripped a couple steps forwards and stopped when Korem steadied her.
