"Anyways, lets go to sleep. I don't really feel like talking about it anymore" Nagito told his girlfriend as he rolled over and practically buried himself under the sheets.
'How could I possibly sleep after hearing all of that?!' Chiaki wondered. Nagito was just telling her about his childhood. The way he was neglected. The way his dog died. How his parents died. How he felt like it was all his fault... how could she sleep knowing all of that?!
Chiaki got her phone and some headphones. She turned the brightness all the way down and sat up in bed. Nagito didn't seem to mind. Chiaki played about tenrounds of five nights at Freddy's until she started feeling tired. She put the phone on the nightstand next to their bed and cuddles with the love of her life. He was already asleep. No surprise there.
Chiaki slowly started to fall asleep as well..
When she woke up, she was sitting on a park bench. She didn't question how she got there. She didn't question why she was there or why there were no people there aside from one child and two adults.
The child was very small, frail and skinny. He had very light hazel hair that went down to his shoulders, a white T-Shirt with a clover on it, some black shorts and black dress shoes. His hair was messy, greasy and unkept and he had cuts and bruises all over him. He resembled Komaeda in a way..
There was one woman. She had long hazel hair, a long blue dress that went to her ankles, white glasses, a rhinestone necklace and some high heels... not exactly what you would wear to a park but that didn't bother Chiaki. The woman was just standing there. A good distance away from the little boy. She was rumaging through her purse trying to find something. She was standing next to a male. He was just a bit shorter than her but not much. He too looked frail and malnourished. Anxiety filled his expression. He was shaking despite it being relatively warm. He looked uncomfortable around the woman. Chiaki felt slightly bad for him but didn't know why.
The man was wearing a black suit and black dress pants. His hair was just regular light brown but it was just as messy as the child's..
The child in question looked like he was related to both adults... but... if is... why weren't they standing close by him..? That could be dangerous. The child could get hurt.
Without thinking, Chiaki got up from where she was sitting and walked to the little sand pit the child was playing in. She knelt down beside him and said, "Excuse me... what is your name?"
Usually a child would say they weren't supposed to talk to strangers or something smart like that but... the boy actually answered the question... "I am Komaeda Nagito... W-What is your name?" He looked at the little sand dog he was making them darted his eyes to where to two adults were standing... were.. they weren't there anymore... where were they..?
He looked back at his sand dog in disappointment. "My name is Nanami Chiaki but you can just call me Nami" Chiaki said comfortingly.
Nagito didn't look up at her. Understandable. She IS still a stranger after all. Chiaki grabbed a handful of sand and tried to make a sandman. That fell apart. When it did, Nagito laughed.
But he cut his own laugh off and said, "I-I am s-s-so so so so so sorry- I-I know much laugh is- is annoy- annoying... I-I'm sorry.." his eyes became glazed as he started picking some of his scans and reaching for the sand.
Chiaki new what he was doing and stopped him as soon as possible. "Hey! Hey hey! It's okay. I'm glad you laughed. You should laugh more often." She said as she grabbed his wrist, stopping him from putting sand into his now open wounds.
Nagito smiles at her with little tears forming in his eyes. "I'm sorry." He said.
Chiaki smiled at him and gave the poor boy a hug. He quickly melted into the hug and started crying a bit.
Chiaki broke the hug and reached into her skirt pocket to grab her phone. She turned it on and it immediately opened animal crossing. Nagito stared at her phone wondering what she was doing.
She showed him the screen and said, "would you like to play? It's a really fun game!"
Nagito hesitantly smiled and said, "um... sure.."
Nanami handed home the phone and taught him how to play the game. He became a pro within ten minutes. They played for thirty minutes... until zither heard a woman yell, "Nagito!! Get your worthless, trashy self over here!" Nagito visibly glinched and Chiaki made a face of anger and disgust.
He handed her back the phone and walked away saying, "That was fun! Please show me more games next time we see each other!" He has a look of happiness mixed with fear.
Chiaki wanted to reply but before she could, the world started to shake.
That's when she woke up. She saw her boyfriend trying to sneak out of her arms. "Ah, I'm so sorry. Did I wake you?" He asked.
Nanami held his arm and nuzzled it. "No.." Komaeda stopped trying to move and just sat there waiting for her to let go.
When she did, it was to grab the two Nintendo switches laying on her nightstand. Nagito got the hint and grabbed the green one. "Let's play some animal crossing.." She said as she started to wake up a bit more
