Ch. 4 One Up The Other.

I walked out of the locker room to join the rest of the class in the middle of the forest. I joined the loose circle bu tkept the outside by myself. I stared out at the forest noticing a shift in the air..or rather nothing happening. The forest was silent as we stood out here. There werent any birds chirping, nor were there any forest rodents scurrying abou the forest floor.

"Just do it, its not like she can do anything. Shes a vampire."

I narrowed my eyes at the forest momentarily distracted as the other Lycans talked about me. I heard and felt the vibrations as a male Lycan "snuck" up behind me. Once he was a step behind me I ducked out of the way and kicked the back of his knee making him fall over, face first into the ground.

I just narrowed my eyes and cocked my head at him. He had dark brown eyes and a head of brown curly hair.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

He quickly stood up and dusted himself off, stepping closer to me to try and size me up. Even though he was bigger i was still stronger than him.

"I was try-" All of a sudden a flash of black hair tackled the boy to the ground. I scrunched up my eyebrows and finally got a good look ot see that Poppy had the boy on the ground yelling at him and was poking her finger into his chest so hard that im sure she was making a hole there.

i just watched with a small smirk on my face as the boys face slowly got more and more terrified as her voice got quieter and closer to his ear.

carem walked up next to me calm and collected making me wonder how they turned out the way they did. Since Aunt Lauren is so bubbly I expected Carem to be more out there and...crazy. while Poppy would be calm and collected like Aunt Amanda.

"So im not entirely sure what happened but what i know is that Poppy saw that, that boy was close to you so seh ran." Carem said looking at Poppy and the boy with amusement.

"He thought he could mess with me so i tripped him and he started to get in my face. But before i could show him what "Just A Vampire" can do, Poppy tackled him." I said. Carem chuckled slightly before sighing and walking over to the terrified boy and the red faced Poppy.

"What's happening here?" A booming voice echoes. I turned around to see that it was the teacher Mr. Minor.

He was a tall man...very hairy...resembled a bear more than a man.

"Ms. Chrown can I ask why you are on top of Mr. Hardwick?" He asked in the deep voice of his.

Poppy stood up dusting herself off and straightening her posture, "Mr. Hardwick was sizing up Ms. Corvin so I had to tell him what would happen the next time he tried to mess with her." she said smirking evilly at him. He took a small step back.

Mr. Minor narrowed his eyes at Poppy before looking at me, "Why didn't you stand up for yourself." he said more than asked.

I stood up straighter and narrowed my eyes back at him, "I wanted to give him a chance to explain himself before I showed him what I could do." I said curtly.

He pursed his lips before turning around and walking away, "Don't let it happen again. If someone threatens you I expect you to fight them. But taking over packs is a no mans zone." he said.
