My Thanksgiving was actually really great. I technically had three of them. The first was on wednesday with my dad, the second on thanksgiving, and the last one was on saturday with my mom and everyone because my sister had work on thanksgiving. Not to mention i volunteered at the Salvation Army and the people that were also there helping were extremely rude. There was at least fifteen African Americans there, including myself, and the people who of a different ethnicity were being completely rude to us.

But beside all of that i am thankful for all of my readers that have stuck with me. I don't know what i would do without you.

Chapter 6: Death Row

I rolled out of bed Friday morning, not wanting to leave the comfort of my bed. I hadn't slept in the past two days. After my walk in the woods with Nicholas I hadn't moved anywhere really. Yes, I went to school with the many protests of Kihara and I did do the little training that I could participate in but otherwise the most I've done is sit in my room and stare out the window into the woods. Something about the small talk that we had, even though it was very little words, had me thinking about him constantly.

I took a quick shower mainly to wake myself up and dried myself off before putting on a pair of leggings, a hoodie and a pair of running shoes.

I grabbed three bags of blood and drained them before taking my leave for the first sectional of the day.

As soon as I left the cabin I was met with the silence of the Cabin section. Sectionals were at different times and since we split our sectionals up between two days, most people had sectionals later in the day while the unlucky ones, like myself, we're stuck with morning sectionals.

I guess I couldn't complain though because because I only had two classes today.

Battle Training T1 and Alpha Logic.

Battle Training T1 was held in an arena type place. The course was supposed to teach us the fundamentals of a battle and the strategies to use based on your defensive and offensive warriors.

From what I heard we were given a group and a piece of land. All fake of course. Then we were given the task of setting up our defensive warriors and offensive warriors in positions that would protect our territory no matter which way we were being attacked from.

As I neared the course I could hear the unrelenting chatter of the Alphas and Lycan Guard that occupied the it. I rolled my eyes at the conversations that they were carrying through. Talk of armor, weapons, and magic use. True Lycans would not need weapons to win a war.

I stepped up to the coliseum type building and took a deep breath before entering. Lycan's were scarred about the place in their individual cliques of people. Some groups being strictly Alphas or Guard while others were a mix of the two.

I felt eyes on me and looked to see the instructor with a grin on her face, "Good everyone is now here. I am sorry to inform you all but we will not be working Battle Strategy today. Instead we will be making a trip over to the yard where you will begin your first course of Death Row. Come along." She chirped happily. Her voice did not match her appearance at all. While her voice was high pitched her appearance resembled that of a biker woman. Clad in leather. Tattoos littering her body. Finally the physique of a male.

We all followed her. Me being slightly behind all of the rude glares being sent my way. I'd just roll my eyes at them all and return to my thoughts on Death Row.

This obstacle course type.. Thing was meant to test our physical and mental ability. Strength and intelligence one into play here. From my hearing I've learned that the course was well over three miles long and ended with an obstacle that was said to be challenging for the Alpha.

The smell of all of the Lycans bunched into one place made me scrunch my nose. Every Lycan on campus stood here looking around curiously. I did so myself wondering where Alpha Reid was, knowing he was the most punctual of us all.

I felt someone stepping up behind me and just as they were going to clamp their hand down on my shoulder I stepped out of their reach.

Jonah ended up grabbing nothing but air and had to catch himself before hitting the ground.

I smirked at my brother who just sent a glare my way, "Jay you act like I'm going to electrocute you with my hands."

I just shrugged, "You never know. Did they pull you out of your class too?"

He nodded, "They said we were doing Death Row or something?"

I didn't say anything in return and just stared out at the crowd around us. Each Lycan group was basically categorized by strength. L1 and L2 Lycans were socializing with each other. L3 and L4 Lycans were together and so on.

A small black haired figure shot at me with another blonde haired figure walking behind her.

"Hey Jaydah! Are you ready! I'm soooo ready for this I cannot wait!" Poppy yelled as she stopped in front of me.

I chuckled slightly, "Good morning to you too Poppy. To answer your question yes I am ready for this."

"They said even the Alpha had trouble finishing the course without a couple scrapes and bruises." Carem said as she walked up to us giving both of us an acknowledging nod to which we returned.

"I'm just wondering how we are all going to fit on the track. I understand that some of us are faster than others but there are still hundreds of Lycans-"

"Good morning everyone I am terribly sorry that I am late. I was caught up in paperwork for a new enrollment." Everyone turned at the sound of my grandpas voice.

And when we did we saw that he was standing with a girl.

She had Raven black hair that was cut into a long Mohawk that she had in a ponytail. Her eyes were a blacker than Satans soul and her skin tan like she lived for tanning. Not to mention her sharp features, septum, bridge, and piercing that followed the shell of her ear, and even tattoos that littered her body. She looked like a tattoo artist. Finally she was dressed in all black.

"Everyone is like you to meet our newest enrollee."

We all perked up at being able to know her name.

"I'd like you all to meet Kareem Stornoff."

You all have permission to shoot me. I know this chapter is very short but it's sown thing right?

Merry Late Christmas. Happy Hanukkah. Or whatever else that is celebrated this time of year. And happy New Years.

Also I am working on about three or four new books that I have an idea for but I will not be posting those until I am completely finished with the chapter outlines. They are about Drakes(Dragon Riders),  Vampires, a prince, the Lycan Guard, and Elementals.

I will also be posting She's Just Human again once I finish editing it.

Anyways.....

How was your Christmas or Hanukkah or whatever you celebrate and what was your favorite gift?
