I don't really like glasses but I do have to wear them in class. I happen to be blind in my left eye.

I walked up to the lunchroom of the place and stopped at the doors with my hand firmly grasping the handle.
The room would be dead silent when I entered. Yesterday after the first meeting when grandpa told them who I was the whole room erupted in chaos at the fact that a vampire was in the same bloodline as a Lycan.
"Why are you just standing there?" I looked behind me to see that Nicholas was standing with his arms crossed while staring at me.
I let go of the handle turning fully toward him, "It's none of your business." I said.
He looked down chuckling, "From my point of view it looks like you're scared to go into the lunchroom, because of what happened yesterday."
I narrowed my eyes curiously at him, "How did you know that?"
"The Lycans talk a lot once you get to know them." he said shrugging.
I looked at him surprised, "You talk to them? How?" I asked.
"They trust me. I've worked with Lycans my whole life."
"I've lived with Wolves and Lycans my whole life. What's the difference?"
"I've fought in wars against my own kind... you haven't."
Although that was true I highly disagreed. Even though I was a vampire I didn't have any loyalty to them. My loyalty was with the Lycans and will stay here.
I stayed silent for a few moments wondering why he's fought against his own kind when he could simply fight with them.
"So are you going in or not?" he asked.
I looked at him then at the doors and let out a long breath before pushing them open to the loud noise that came with a room full of Lycans.
A pair of eyes found mine causing them to nudge their friend and like the domino effect I soon had every pair of eyes in there on me.
I looked around for Carem and Poppy and once I found them I straightened my back out and held my head up high before walking toward them with the courage I had.
I took a seat and sat up straight while saying my hellos to Carem and Poppy. They returned them and went back to eating their pile of food.
I knew how it was for a Lycan to eat because of Jonah, aka the food dispenser since every time he talked more food was outside of his mouth than inside. So we just sat in silence as the rest of the students slowly returned to their eating but still occasianaly turning to look at me. It was quite irritating but there was not really much I could do without causing another fight throughout the whole cafeteria.
As I sat and watched Carem and Poppy eat, I could hear slow footsteps like they were trying to sneak up on someone and it put me on edge. I sat up straight but didn't look behind me as the footsteps neared me.
The cafeteria became quiet as they watched the person slowly sneak up behind me. As the person neared me I waited until the last second to jump out of the way and wrap my arm around the person neck in a choke hold.
I saw a head of red hair and a puddle of milk that was soaking the seat I once occupied.
I twirled the girl around making her face me and lifted an eyebrow at her.
She huffed, her emerald green eyes burning with a hidden fire.
"Care to explain?" I asked.
"I don't have to explain myself to a leech." she said making me roll my eyes.
