<•>•<•>•<•>•<•>After spending hours cleaning the house I heard a knock coming from downstairs.
"Coming!" I exclaimed as I jogged downstairs to open the door. Who could it be?
"Hello," it was Beshir, Abdellah's son from across the street.
"Oh hey!" I greeted back with a surprised tone, "Get in" I welcomed him in, but he refused with a humble smile on his face.
"I actually came here to invite you to our house warming ceremony," He explained, "Its tomorrow evening, nothing special, no need to bring presents or anything your presence is enough." He stated with a smile that more or less resembeld his father's. "You and your parents are welcome."
My parents? I don't know about that, what if my mom makes a scene or something?! I freaked out inside.
"Umm, Oh yeah sure um, yeah... " I stuttered awkwardly as I scratched the back of my head. Talk about low communication skills.
"Okay I have to invite all our neighbors in this block so see you tomorrow," i Nodded and waved goodbye as I closed the door gently. I let out a sigh wondering if I should bring mom with me or just leave her at home.
I went upstairs to her room to check on her. "Mom," I called as I slowly opened her door. "Are you sleeping?"
I entered the room just to find her posing in front of the mirror. She was wearing a black, one shoulder knee length dress that I recall her wearing last Friday as well.
"Sleeping? At Friday night? Ofcource not!" She huffed.
She tied her blond Messy hair in a ponytail, and finished off her lazy look makeup with a lip gloss.
"So...are you free tomorrow evening?" I asked hesitantly, "there's a house warming party across the street and we were invited."
"Party?" Her face lit up, "say no more baby girl, ofcource we're going." She stated, a clear excitement showing in her face.
She grabbed her phone and keys as she carelessly threw them in her mini purse. "Have dinner without me, okay? I won't be back til dawn." She Mentioned casually as she pinched my cheeks in a playful manner.
"Don't drink too much," I called as her heels echoed the way down. The door was closed with a thud and so she was gone.
I went to the kitchen as my stomach demanded for food, I opened the fridge and for my horror there was nothing inside except for......healthy stuff. Carrots, broccoli and some other veggies which seemed Untouched for a couple of weeks. I groaned as I closed the fridge in frustration.
Normally I would just go back upstairs to my room but not today, cause I'm literally starving.
I threw my jacket on, grabbed my spare keys and went to the grocery store. I was craving some fresh air anyways.

Okay, I've got some frozen pizza, oreos and my favorite strawberry cornflakes. Now I need to reach the diary section to buy some fresh milk, which will complete my healthy diet. *note the sarcasm*
Turning to the left to reach my desired section, my eyes met the most petrifying thing you could imagine. No, its not a cow being forcefully milked you creep. It was Dweck, Adding some milk in his cart.
I quickly hid behind the shelf raw crossing my fingers hoping he haven't seen me. I sneaked A pick to see if he have already left.
"Ahh!!" I let out a scream surprised to see him right in front of me, and I seem to have lost my balance in the process as I fell straight on my butt.
"Oh Dweck! What a blessing surprise to see ya!" I exclaimed with a grin, still on the floor.
"Were you avoiding me?" He asked with a husky straight tone, raising an eyebrow.
"Who me? Avoiding you? Pfft no way," I said as I nervously let out a laugh, "I was just- EXERCISING!" I exclaimed as someone who found the value x in an equation.
I did some sit ups as he gave me a bewildered look. I just did one cause thats what my physical fitness allows me to and quickly got up on my feet.
"So yeah exercise Is good. You should do some too," I stutterd, however glancing at his greek sculpture looking body, that cant be denied eventhough he's wearing a baggy hoody and jeans, i can say he definitely don't need any exercises.
'Are you saying Im fat?!' Said the look he gave me. "Noo, I'm not saying you're fat, definitely not! You could work as a model actually," I assured him with a big Grin and a thumbs up.
Gazing down at his shoes, He smirked showing off his dimples that I didn't know he had.
He quickly shook that expression off as he was put back on to 'blank expression' mode.
"So what are you doing here?" He asked after clearing his throat.
"You know, grocery", I replied gesturing at the items I bought, "And I need milk to complete my collection."
He just nodded as he maintained eye contact, "soooo...bye!" I said quickly as I walked past him, avoiding any other awkward situation, its not that I hate him or anything, I'm just still embarrassed because of what happened earlier at school.
I got my milk and headed to the registration where I could pay the bill...you know the process. I scanned my surrounding making sure Dweck is not behind me or anything. I sighed in relief as he was probably gone, but frowned as I saw it was getting dark.
The cashier handed me my change as I took my grocery items and left through the exit.
"Its gonna be along way home," I sighed mentally preparing myself for the misery. You see, I'm not currently in my neighborhood, the grocery Store in my area is a little bit expensive plus doesn't contain all the items I need....who am I kidding I just came here to save a couple of change, yah I know I'm cheap.
As i was walking far from the Stores parking lot, I heard heavy footsteps following me behind. I held tight on my frozen pizza as a defense weapon. I tried to calm myself down as the footsteps got closer and closer. I could see from the shadow that it was a male. Could be a pervert or maybe even worse...a banker.
I felt his hand reaching over my shoulder, and before I knew it my body was reacting on its on. With the rush of adrenaline in my body I spinned around and forcefully slapped him with the frozen pizza that made him fall back. Then I ran as fast as I could screaming like a crow. Nailed the Self-defense.
(Narrator: little did she know that the man she slapped was Dweck. Poor boy wanted to offer her a ride back home. He was completely taken aback by her sudden action. His eyes and mouth wide open in shock, as her high pitched scream started to fade away.
His shocked expression soon changed into a Sheepish smile,
'unpredictable As always...' He thought.)
