I woke up in the hospital with dad alongside me.
My memories are..foggy. I dont remember much.

Evalin? Eva? This name.. stayed on my mind.
Who is this girl? What is she doing in my mind?

"Mako, you have a visitor." Dad got up and left.

"Mako! I'm glad you're okay!" This boy, came through that door, with his hand all patched up.

"Yu.. your name.. Yukio,am I right?"
Why is it difficult to remember?

"Woah there, dont force yourself, take it slowly. But yes, you're right."
This boy took a seat near me. I feel like I've known him my entire life, but why dont I remember.

He cleared his throat and began speaking seriously.

"We were in a car accident. That damn driver drove into us,and it most affected you. It took me some seconds to regain consciousness, but the second I looked at you I thought you were dead. Blood was all over your face. You hit your head pretty hard,so it may be hard to remember things."

He took a deep breath and continued his talk.

"You will be discharged in a week, the doctors want to run more tests."

The week went by,and I finally left the hospital.
Yukio came and talked to me everyday, telling me stories so that I can began to recover little by little.

Slowly with small steps, I regained my memories.
Evalin.. I remembered her, she saved me again.
I'm glad that I know she's still there.
Even though, I want to be by her side but she told me to live.
That's what I am doing.

But still,I couldn't remember everything about her, since nobody talks about her.
I decided to look in the box with her stuff.

I found her journal and remembered when I found her violin.
Still the words "Everything is a lie" sent a shivering through my spine.

In one of the books I found.. Letters?
What are they doing here? I opened one,and it was for one of her classmates.
I took all the letters out and there were 20 in total.
17 were for her classmates,2 for her mother and father and one for her grandmother.

I didn't open them,I just went and delivered them with the help of the Suzukis,Yukio and his dad.

Many cried, boys or girls. Dad's letter I just left it in the mail box,I didn't stay with him to read it. I'm not in so good relationships with him right now.

Mr. Suzuki cried,he said she acknowledged his passion for geography and hoped he will become a cartographer, which he did. Such a sweet girl, she wished everyone a happy life, and she Hope's for everyone to fulfill their dreams.

At last I need to deliver 3 more letters.
I went with Yukio to an old neighborhood.
We found her house, it was a pretty small house, but you could see that it was old.
Yukio stayed behind, he didn't want to come. I entered the little yard filled with beautiful flowers.
I knocked on the door, then an old lady came.

"Hello? How can I help you?" I could see that she was in her 70's,her while hair tied in a bun with big glasses hanging from her neck.

"Hello Mrs. Comorodo, I'm Mako Onikuma,Kai's Onikuma son."

"Onikuma? Oh sweetie come inside! It's been a long time since I last saw your dad."
I entered the house and she told me to sat down on the couch.
2 minutes later she came back with a tray full of biscuits and a mug with tea.

"What makes you come here?" She asked me,I could see that she wa happy to have visitors. Especially young ones.

"I come to deliver some letters!"

"Letters? From who? The only letters I get are the bills."

"How can I say it.. it's from your daughter, Evalin." Her eyes quickly widened.

"E-evalin?! But she's..dead.." Her eyes had tears in them.

"She is but not really. She's still alive, not in our world. She became an Asteria, taking care of souls that died."
I've seen her with my own eyes.

"Impossible.. the books I read to her when she was little.. they're true?"
Her arms were shaking, her entire body.

I gave her the letter, but she handed it back to me.

"Please, can you read it for me? I cant see very well even with glasses."

"Of course!"

I opened the letter and began to read it.

"My dear Mother,
the sunshine in my life, the life elixir I need ,I am so sorry that I left you at a young age. I broke the tradition of the Comorodos,to live a longevive life.
I know how many tears fell from your beautiful Azure Eyes, and it's only my fault. I know you blamed yourself for my death, but it's not your fault sweet mother. Dont worry, your baby girl is safe now in a world where  pain fades away. The tales of Asterias are true mother,I am one of them now. I'm running out of paper to write my words, but I cant describe how much I love you.
I hope one day, that your chest will not hurt when you think of me. I know its impossible,so that's why I pray that this letter will be found and brought back to you.
- Your baby girl, Evalin."

She began to cry, but I hugged her, knowing that she needs someone to do it.

"Your daughter is safe.. I know it. She has been taking care of me since I was a baby and I lost my mother. She's such a kind person, I know she got this from you."
Her little hands tightly grabbed my torso.

"Thank you.. thank you for bringing this to me."

A man opened the door,he was in his 70's as well.

Mrs. Margaret told him everything and I read him his letter too.

"Dear Father,
I know it was hard to pass by my room every morning when you left for work. I know it was hard to see kids playing and not seeing me there as well. I'm sorry for leaving you alone, but life isn't always fair. I thank you for teaching me how to ride my bike, for teaching me how to use tools and how to talk.
But dont worry dear father, I'm okay now,in a world where pain fades away.
I just want to see you again, hug you and hear your jokes again.
You cant see me,but I can and I breaks my heart.
I'll never forget your smile and I hope you wont forget mine.
-Your little flower,Evalin."

Tears fell from his eyes, probably remembering his sweet child that he no longer has.
