Hidden Within

Intro

Lycans and humans have coexisted peacefully for eons now. Living peacefully joining their technologies together. Lycans intergraded well into human life, using some of their strongest in sporting events for play. Others joined into the government and medical fields. Earth flourished now. Society progressed and war was a thing of the past.

With all this good happening evil must still remain. In the western most part of Texas laid a secret base funded by all of the nation's governments. There Lycans were experimented on. Pushed to their limits to find answers for humanity's burning question. Everlasting life. Most died during the experiment other became insane. There was one Lycan there who started the entire facility. The head honchos called him Wulfric and he was their pride and joy. He was the oldest Lycan still alive on the planet and had been held captive for over a century. He was the only Lycan to be "successfully" experimented on. They were able to half his mental state. Splitting his wolf and human sides to two totally different personalities that lived within one body. It made him insane and he acted out of instinct now unable to shift back into his human form or speak he was a snarling beast now. They used him to test the other Lycans to see if they would or could because as strong as Wulfric. He always won and slaughtered the other Lycans in his way. Too dangerous to be kept with a pack he was sheltered alone in his own cage away from everyone. They only used him when they needed him. His mind was twisted and evil, the wolf in him loved to hunt and kill whereas the human side wanted to get out and try to reclaim peace with his inner wolf. The experiments made the wolf hateful and blood thirsty not that his human side blamed him. Animas can be caged but the hatred remains always.

Then there was Athena Skylar. An Empath and a up and coming reporter. She was a Lycan herself and worked with the humans. All her life she had been able to feel people's emotions around her and if the bond was strong enough even hear their thoughts from time to time. Little did she know her powers would be tested to the extreme soon.
